In the second featured fight on the main card of the Strikeforce: "Feijao vs. Henderson" event in Columbus, Ohio, Tim Kennedy and Melvin Manhoef did their dance inside the cage.
It didn't last long.
Kennedy knew he had to take the fight to the floor and after some early trouble in doing so, he got Manhoef down and quickly took his back before submitting him with a rear-naked choke.
That's not to say Melvin didn't make it a fight. He stuffed a few takedowns and landed a few of his trademark nasty leg kicks.
But it was only a matter of time before the super-soldier got that takedown.
Once on the floor, Manhoef was like a fish out of water and Kennedy showed "No Mercy" in wrapping his legs around Melvin and flattening him out.
Once that was done, slipping his arms under the neck was academic. The tap came shortly after.
Kennedy calls out Robbie Lawler in the post-fight interview with Mauro Ranallo.
Sound like a good fight, Maniacs?
