Good news for all you "Napao" fans.
It looks like Gabriel Gonzaga will not be retiring from MMA and will make his return on Sept. 24, 2011, against Parker Porter for the Reality Fighting heavyweight championship, according to a report from Sherdog.com. It will mark the Brazilian's first fight outside the UFC in more than five years.

Gonzagas biggest mistake was to
Knockout cro cop. I just don’t understand what happens to fighters like gonzaga. They seem to believe because they knock someone out that they can do it to everybody. He should have stuck to his bread and butter.

I remeber him saying before the JDS fight that he does not only have his hands but also has kicks.
Than he gets caught by JDS when throwing a kick.
He should have used his ground game way more.

I really am a Gonzaga fan. But he’s made it rough the last few outings. He honestly SHOULD be undefeated in the UFC. I wonder if he was with Jackson camp this whole time if things would have went differently?

um…How the hell can you guys even remotely comment on napao negatively when half of you don’t even do the sport. Having been to seminars of his, and a fellow New England BJJ, he’s inspiring, not only is he STILL fighting, but he was top in the ufc heavyweights, that headkick with cro cop was obviously lucky. But he can fight….just watch him, he’s not nearly as sloppy as 3/4 of the pro heavyweights. You guys are so fucking fast to judge people. He’s an amazing athelete AND MMA fighter. I’m stoaked for the Parker Porter match sept. 11th….Parker is also a New England beast….it should be a good one
