UFC on late night TV, take two.
With The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 set to debut this Wednesday night (March 30) on Spike TV, the media push is already underway to help promote the upcoming UFC reality show, featuring hard-hitting heavyweights (and opposing coaches) Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos.
Lesnar (5-2) will do his part by appearing on "Late Night" with Jimmy Fallon TONIGHT (Monday, March 28, 2011) alongside David Schwimmer, Jeff Musial and musical guest Vanilla Fudge.
Quite the line-up of superstars.
Brock will be discussing his Octagon career, which includes a run as heavyweight champion from 2009-10, as well as the upcoming season of TUF 13, according to UFC.com.
Lesnar isn't the only Zuffa fighter appearing on late night NBC television, as Jon Jones, fresh off his light heavyweight title win over "Shogun" Rua at UFC 128, appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno last Thursday (March 24, 2011).
Does this mean "Bones" is bigger (figuratively speaking) than "The Brockness Monster?"
Maybe, maybe not.
Either way, it's good news for the UFC (and its fans) to have two of its biggest stars on late night programming to promote the product.
TUF 13 kicks off this Wednesday (March 30) at its new start time of 9 p.m. ET on Spike TV.
The two behemoths coaching the welterweight hopefuls, Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos, will meet shortly after the conclusion of the show at UFC 131 on June 11 in Vancouver.
