"I think that's gonna be a pretty easy fight, I really do. I think GSP's going to be able to do whatever he wants. Jake's not going to be able to get on top, so I just don't see him being effective really anywhere. I definitely don't think he's going to be able to take him down, and if Shields is on his back I just don't see him being effective. I have to really wonder why he got a title shot in the first place... but, I'll tell you why he got a title shot is there's no one else."
Doesn't sound like former welterweight champion Matt Hughes will be biting his nails during the UFC 129 main event between reigning 170-pound kingpin Georges St. Pierre and division number one contender Jake Shields. In fact, "Country Breakfast" tells the MMA Fight Corner (presented by FiveKnuckles.com) that he's not even sure why the former Strikeforce middleweight champ got a shot at the belt. Oh wait, yes he does, because he claims there's no one else to challenge "Rush" that hasn't already done so -- and failed. Is he complimenting GSP's ability to clean out the division? Or taking shots at Shields based on his performance in the Kampmann fight? Maybe a little bit of both? Sound off Maniacs, do you agree or disagree with Hughes' assessment of the upcoming pay-per-view title fight on April 30 in Toronto?
