Jon Jones did Shogun "dirty" at UFC 128? /Shogun tapped due to strikes...

It is without a doubt Jon Jones put on an incredibly dominant performance against Shogun last night. But was there dirty tactics involved? Before I delve any deeper, I'd like to note that I am both a Shogun and Bones fan (cheered for Jones last night), so theres no bias here. Ive seen alot of posters discussing the fact that Bones was throwing illegal elbows and completing strikes to shoguns throat. What I think many people missed were the side/down kicks directly to Shogun's knee caps. Now this isn't illegal but considered a dirty move among fighters alike. Many of my buddies who have trained for a while, were upset at seeing Bones use such tactics to win, especially against a fighter(shogun) with a history of knee problems. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the situation?

Also i noticed something during the slo-mo replay of the finish during the bones/shogun fight....

Shogun as he ate that last knee fell to the floor and made a tapping motion to signal that he had enough and tapped due too strikes. This is in no way me trying to disrespect shogun, I was just wondering if anyone else saw it, perhaps a gif of the end of the fight would provide a clearer picture...did anyone else see it?
