Schaub3

At the UFC 128 post-fight press conference, Dana White proclaimed that Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, who was knocked out tonight (March 19. 2011) by Brendan Schaub, will no longer be fighting in the UFC.

My thoughts exactly, maybe they can feed him to Fedor...

Shogun Rua, still only 1 quality win in the UFC and I don't want to hear any garbage excuses about his knee. That is all.

sad to hear that

and not because im a huge cro cop fan, but because he actually looked decent tonight, better than he looked against barry, mir, and kongo…bad night for the pride boys

Shogun Rua, P4P best...danago called it

Ya I feel bad for Mirko. Great guy and was doing well but shit happens.

You are still the man.

I've got something to say; it better to burn out than to fade away!!!

This is an all around terrible year for pride fighters. Lil nog, you’re next.

next for what

dude was ruined 2 fights in a row lol

by P86 on Mar 20, 2011 2:18 AM EDT reply actions

He was ruined after the Gonzaga fight.

Though he did seem to be on the attack more in this fight than in his most recent fights.

makes sense. The loser retires.

by Slowcooker on Mar 20, 2011 6:53 AM EDT up reply actions

hahah yeah that fight actually does make sense

If either kO each other they should definitely retire and if neither do then they should most definitely retire!

Double KO when they go to touch gloves.

Cro cop was never really in the run for a title after GG koed him.
I think he should go to strikeforce and fight AA.

whoa what about fedor again…

by judopei on Mar 20, 2011 8:31 AM EDT reply actions

Reminiscent of AA too

Even when he’s on point in the fight – eventually something happens and everybody questions the chin or the will to fight. I didn’t see the fight and it’s even more gutting to learn that CC was doing well in the fight.

He’s been done for a while.

by grapplefan on Mar 20, 2011 9:08 AM EDT reply actions

it was sad....

More sad to actually note that he was more on even terms with this bum than actually dominating even tho Schaub was busted up, then a big right hand that CC actually ducked into got planted in his ear and he went down like he got shot again…very reminiscient of the Gonzaga hk KO…

Yeah, we'll always have ideas about how well Crocop in his prime would handle some of these opponents

I know I have mine, but most of them are just being used to build up other people’s names and fame and save people from losing too many times (Mir).

It’ll be the same if some Strikeforce fighters get signed, especially if there is a point to prove. Do you think Fedor will be fighting somebody other than a caveman like HW? Or Diaz will be put up against anybody but a wrestler with JJ defence?

Maybe, but to be honest I expect to see people like this in bad match ups, to help people discredit the validity of past or present competition of the UFC.

I found it funny that Cro cop can't take a punch anymore.

He suffers from Liddellsyndrome.

Brendan

Maybe we should rename him, no more “hybrid”. He is now the “Retirer”!

gonzaga is back in action

and if he wants to man up maybe he should fight nelson again
