UFC 128 headliner and light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua made a special appearance on ESPN's Sport Science today and blasted his way to some impressive numbers.

Here are "Shogun's" stats working a 300 lb. heavy bag:

Right Punch: Accelerates at 25 mph with 1169 lbs. of force behind it.
Right Kick: 2749 lbs. of force! That's harder than UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, who was clocked at 2700 lbs. and the hardest strike ever recorded in the Sport Science lab.

Check out video of the Brazilian's handywork after the jump.

Anyone suddenly afraid for Jonny and his "Bones?"

UFC 128: "Shogun vs. Jones" takes place this Saturday night (March 19) live on pay-per-view from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
