Programming alert: Jon Jones 'In the Moment' airs March 17 at 11pm ET on Spike TV

Jon Jones is living "In the Moment."

As the new light heavyweight number one contender heads into his UFC 128 title fight against Mauricio Rua this Saturday night (March 19) from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, Johnny "Bones" will be featured in his own 30-minute special detailing his rise to mixed martial arts superstardom.

Jon Jones: "In the Moment" airs Thursday night (March 17) at 11 p.m. ET on SpikeTV.

After Rashad Evans withdrew from the March 19 event due to injury, Jones was awarded the short-notice title fight following his first round submission win over Ryan Bader at UFC 126 back on Feb. 5 in Las Vegas.

From the cable television's recent press release:

Nicknamed "Bones," the New York native has taken the sports world by storm thanks to his uncanny athleticism and endearing personality. In this all-access program, fans can follow him every step of the way as he gears up for Saturday's epic showdown with one of the sport's true legends.

From his training camp to his family life, from New Mexico to New York, viewers get an inside look at the man in his defining moment, when the limitless potential of great talent meets the relentless pressure of great expectations.

Remember: will provide LIVE blow-by-blow, round-by-round coverage of UFC 128, beginning with the pay-per-view telecast at 10 p.m. ET on March 19. In addition, we will deliver up-to-the-minute quick results of all the under card action much earlier on fight night.
