Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has once again turned the mixed martial arts (MMA) world on its head with last weekend's announcement that it had acquired Strikeforce, the Showtime-televised fight promotion run by Scott Coker out of San Jose, California.
And just as a lot of MMA fans went to Twitter to voice their reactions, so too did a majority of the world's top fighters as talent from both UFC and Strikeforce used the popular social networking site to sound off.
First up we have UFC fighters Shane "The Engineer" Carwin, Kenny "KenFlo" Florian, "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Tito Ortiz, Phil "Mr. Wonderful" Davis and Melvin "The Young Assassin" Guillard reacting to the news that UFC bought Strikeforce:
Hear what Strikeforce fighters Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal, Gilbert "El Nino" Melendez, Tim Kennedy and Miesha "Takedown" Tate had to say after the jump.
You've heard from some of the fighters, but what was your initial reaction? And sorry, but OMFG! is not an adequate response.
