The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) today issued its list of medical suspensions for UFC 126: "Silva vs. Belfort," which took place on Sat., Feb. 5, 2011, from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

With several bouts ending early, there were numerous fighters who were flagged follow up visits with their doctors, including former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin, who could be riding the bench for up to six months with a foot injury unless a doctor gives him a clean bill of health to return sooner.

Jake Ellenberger busted up both his hands hitting Carlos Eduardo Rocha so hard that he, too, could be on the shelf for a half-year.

Also getting a mandatory vacation was former number one middleweight contender Vitor Belfort, who took Anderson Silva's toes to the face and now has to think about them for at least the next 30 days outside the cage.

But that's not all.

Here is the complete list of UFC 126 injuries and their medical instructions:

Vitor Belfort: Suspended until March 23, 2011, with no contact March 8, 2011.

Forrest Griffin: Suspended until August 5, 2011, with a possible right foot injury that requires x-rays unless cleared by an orthopedic doctor to return sooner.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.
