The official weigh-in event for "Daley vs. Shirai" went down today (Feb. 25, 2011) for the upcoming BAMMA 5 show going down tomorrow night (Feb. 26).
And once again, British striker Paul Daley came in overweight.
"Semtex" tipped the scales at a final weight of 170.4 pounds for what was to be a welterweight championship fight against Yuya Shirai, who successfully made the limit at 169.6 pounds.
The bout will now be contested as a three-round non-title fight.
Also suffering from some weighty issues was embattled UFC veteran Ricco Rodriguez (217), who came in two pounds over the contracted limit of 215 pounds for his catchweight contest against James McSweeney (214.6).
