A couple of talented bantamweights are looking at a match-up against one another, as up-and-comer Demetrious Johnson has been booked to fight Renan Barao at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 Finale on June 4 in Las Vegas.
Tatame.com brought word of the pending match-up earlier today.
Johnson is fresh on the heels of the biggest win of his budding career; a dominant three round decision over the debuting Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto at UFC 126.
Prior to that, the 24 year-old "Mighty Mouse" had lost just once, to Brad Pickett in his WEC debut. Can Barao provide blemish number two?
You may not be familiar with Renan Barao's name, seeing as his real name is Renan do Nascimento Mota Pegado, but he sports one of the most impressive records in the entire sport.
After dropping a split decision in his first professional fight, the Brazilian went on an extraordinary run of 25 wins in 26 fights, with a No Contest in the middle.
Barao will look to continue his astonishing streak of 15 consecutive wins when he hooks up with Johnson on Spike TV.
The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale is expected to go down on June 4 and will feature a main event lightweight title eliminator bout pitting number one contender Anthony Pettis putting his shot at gold on the line against energetic caveman Clay Guida.
