According to company President Dana White, who spoke to USA Today about the decision to book Jackson against Matt Hamill at UFC 130 instead:

"Talking's fun before the fight, but if you do all this talking and then you go in there and don't fight, who wants to see that (crap) again? Rampage-Rashad, the (freaking) snoozefest? I don't want to see that (freaking) fight again. Matt Hamill and Rampage might not talk a bunch of (crap) about each other before the fight, but when have you not seen Matt Hamill fight? Matt Hamill's going to go in there and try to beat him."

There is no longer any need to speculate on why the rematch between Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evans was passed over. The bossman has spoken, like only he can, and he pulls no punches; the first fight was a "snoozefest" and he has zero interest in seeing another 15 minutes of it. Dana the promoter then kicks in and explains "The Hammer" is a perfect opponent for "Rampage" because Hamill will go in there and do like The Rock used to say and just bring it. Is that enough to convince you to get excited about the fight? Or do you believe they should have booked the rematch against "Suga?" Sound off, Maniacs.
