Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament fighters injuries are of no concern to Scott Coker (Video)
But is it naive to think the grand prix will go off without a hitch? The tournament kicks off tomorrow night (Feb. 12) with "Fedor vs. Silva" in New Jersey.

This is true and he has even said this is his own words but...
it’s annoying how he keeps claiming that he has the best HW division in MMa when he really doesn’t. Sorry but half the people in this tourney are washed up and people stopped talking about them before their names were added in. Their HW division does come close to UFC far more so then any other division they have but it still fails. It’s also funny how they’re claiming that the winner of this tourney is the #1 guy. That depends on what happens, If Overeem crushes everybody then I would personally consider him as high as #2 but he should sign with the UFC cause at that point there would be no reason for him to stay with SF. But, let’s say Silva beats Fedor and Werdum beats Overeem and Arlovski makes it to the finals with Werdum and beats him. It would bring his career back to life no doubt but I wouldn’t consider him to be top 3 imho.
Anderson Silva is without a doubt the G.O.A.T. and best P4P to which there's no debate. People may try but they'll lose! GSP hasn't done what Silva has in 2 weight classes plus can't finish people in his own division who haven't moved up from LW. Fedor has less names on his padded resume and was once the top HW but then ducked the best and lost to a guy who was barely top 10. Anderson is the G.O.A.T. no matter what the haters who boo him say. They used to boo Ali too.
No way this tourney goes off without a hitch
someone gets hurt…. I wonder what the contigency plan is?… Dana is pretty quiet lately, wonder what’s up with that?

Maybe he knows SF is gonna shoot themselves in the foot...
with this tourney once it’s over.

Injuries are always a concern tournament or not
"I felt like I was getting raped by Freddy Mercury"-Tank on losing to Dan Severn
I'd be interested to see what their contracts are.
To win the tournament and then to square off with Overeem for the Strikeforce title will take 4 fights, if the winner of the tourney has only signed a four fight deal, then the UFC can sign them as soon as the tournament is over.
Which I expect to happen.
The winner goes straight into a title fight with Cain vs. JDS/Brock.
totally agree
And the “reserves” on a challengers card
