Always finds a way to piss me off
A video like that and at the end all I can think is ’that’s what Chale had to say?’.
There was clearly more to it and that was just a clip.
You had to know someone was gonna jump on that. They spent alot of time together at Team Quest. It has been well documented all Evan’s mental health issues and Chael can’t speak to the fact whether he could tell Tanner’s mind wasn’t right?? There was obviously more said than three seconds worth of a partial sentence. Granted it doesn’t come off well, but Chael didn’t choose to edit that in either.

I thought so too....then you find the excerpt clips on youtube from the documentary.
and nope, Chael is just the same old miserable fuckhead that he is. Btw the documentary looks damn good.

If the round is too close, it's 10-10, NOT flip a coin 10-9 or late takedown FTW.

Naww, it's worth watching
As long as you know what to expect first, you can watch the video and laugh at the sociopath that Chael Sonnen really is.

didnt watch it but im pretty sick of dead people being overpraised
while they lived they were nothing special, but if they die they suddenly become “one of the best ever” , other good examples are mask (hof? really?) and actor heath ledger, batman movie is just another hollywood action garbage fest but people voted it into the top on imdb and claims its the best movie ever and that he was the best actor ever, roflmao
we need to come up with a name for this syndrome
and dont get me wrong, giving respect is fine but you dont have to go overboard

lucky for you, when you die, no one will be saying shit cause no one will give a fuck.
I'm not insane. My mother had me tested.
that was harsh
i apologize
no one is gonna give a shit when i die either.
I agree with you though. A pet peeve of mine is when people say nothing but bad about a person when they are alive, but when they die, its nothing but the positive
a close friend of mine, his father died, i was sad and felt really bad for him. but he was a cocksucker to me when he was alive, so why would i start saying how good of a person he was, just cause he is dead?
I'm not insane. My mother had me tested.
peace of mind for his loved ones, i guess?
it’s far better hearing “hey, your father was a decent man” instead of “hey, your father was a fucking little prick and i hope you burried him upside down so if he comes back, the motherfucker burries himself even further” or something like that
well i didnt say anything bad to him about his father when he was alive
so i wasnt going to start when he was dead haha
i kept my negative comments to myself. when alive and dead.
I'm not insane. My mother had me tested.
Mask was a founder of tapout which was one of the first MMA related clothing companies
and sponsored a lot of fighters when no one wanted to sponsor anything that had to do with this sport. That’s why HOF. Maybe Evan Tanner wasn’t the greatest ever, but he seemed to be a genuinely good guy and had been fighting from the beginning of the sport. Why get mad when people praise someone? Its good to remember people we cared about and respected in a good light. That’s all this is about. Not everything that was said in that video made Evan Tanner look like Jesus, it seemed to be pretty accurately stating that he was a person with a good soul but a disturbed mind. And as far as Heath Ledger, his acting in Dark Knight was Epic. But so was his acting in Broke Back Mountain and the last one he did Dr. something or other. Dude was a great actor. Stop the hate.

The reason this IS is because
When you’re alive, people only see what you accomplish. Especially if you didn’t accomplish being the most successful richest person in the world. When you go, things sink in and people begin to truly miss the positive way you made them feel.

well then had you bothered to watch the clip, then you'd realize that the documentary has
absolutely jack shit to do with being a fighter or a “one of the best ever.” Now Evan was far from the best ever or even deserving to be in HOF but he was truly inspirational and his story is so unique that it needs to be told as opposed to being kept a secret amongst just the MMA community. As far as people being overpraised postmortem – yes, it’s a fact of life and it wont change any time soon.

I use to go to his blog everyday to read his new posts.
The dude was pretty inspirational & wanted just to be able to help people. rip.
yeah, he's the only fighter or celebrity I ever wrote to. And he actually wrote me back.
Long before he died, I was a huge fan. Not because of his skills but because of his heart and his humility. He was the epitome of how a true champion should carry himself. It took me a long time to forgive Rich for beating him up, until I saw what a gentleman Rich was. But Evan to me was the prototype of the quiet humble hard-working respectful encouraging champion. And he was all about giving back to the community and to his fans and trying to make a positive impact on people. I was totally shocked and bummed out when he died. And I was totally pissed that some T-shirt salesman got into the HOF when he died and a UFC champion like Tanner, who was a champion in and out of the ring, didn’t get inducted. Why? Simple, Mask made Zuffa money, Tanner didn’t. Bullshit politics. .
"Who's da MASTA?!!!"
I love Chaels honesty
U know what kind of guts it takes to speak the truth. Right or wrong by Chael, its refreshing to hear someone say what they feel. Especially if it will piss people off which u know this will. This being said, I am looking foward to watching this.
I don't get Chael's input
Is he trying to say something good about Tanner or am I missing something? Cause why would they put that line in the video if he’s bad mouthing Tanner?
“If you’ve ever heard an intelligent person talk, you’d know what he was saying was not from an intelligent person.”
Am I Wrong?
You're not wrong.....You're just an Asshole
Either takes guts...
or it takes being a complete sociopath. Differences in point of view, I guess.

I think you're equating "guts" with "nerve."
You can have the nerve to say a lot of bold things, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s true. Just think for a moment: is truth directly proportional to the boldness of a statement?
For instance: “mspenc24 is a child molester.” That’s a bold statement. If I were an pathological a$$hole (Chael), then it wouldn’t be beyond me to say something like that about you (especially if you’re celebrated – that is the M.O. of the pathological a$$hole, after all). The fact that it’s a bold thing to say… does that make it any more true?
U know it was cut
I would also like to know the context of what he was speaking about.
wow
this looks like it might be really good. the production looks very good and Evan certainly was no ordinary fighter or person. It could make for an interesting documentary.
Padre Noe
I agree
he was a unique individual with a unique perspective on his place in the universe and the meaning of life. A lot of people on this board says that its obvious he had a mental illness. i think it’s more obvious that they’re close minded about how they percieve reality. I was not a fan of Tanner the fighter, AT ALL. I thought he was a gatekeeper, at best, in a weak division during an adolescent stage of the sport. But everything I read from his mind or hear from his mouth has made me respect him as a man.

WOW
lets all relax here, that was a heavy trailer, regardless of Chael, Tanner was a special person.
