America's got 'Talent:' Alan Belcher eyes July 2011 return to the Octagon
UFC middleweight Alan Belcher finally earned a spot in a UFC main event -- as well as his name on the corresponding poster -- only to lose them both after suffering a detached retina while training for his Sept. 2010 fight against Demian Maia.
"The Talent" has been on the shelf for several months while his eye healed and required multiple surgeries to fully correct his vision. Belcher's manager (via MMA Weekly) confirms the 185-pound contender has since resumed training back in January and is planning on fighting at some point this summer.
Who do you think should be Belcher's opponent in his return fight? Perhaps Maiquel Falcao, who recently pulled out of his UFC on Versus fight?
Let's hear your pick!

I hope to see him return against Falcao or Sakara that would be amazing fights but also tough comeback fights
Edson Barboza and Charles Oliveira are gonna stir up the pot at 155!

Would love to see him against Falcao, but Falcao probably needs a few more fights first. He looks like a monster though.

Sakara, if he will actually fight
Belcher has the potential to be an actual contender at some point. No need to throw him into the deep end after a lang layoff.
Only I would be dumb enough to pick a guy who couldn’t even beat his own wife in a fight agaisn’t a world class fighter like Nick Diaz.
I don't think Silva vs Stann is happening for sure?
I think Stann vs Flacoe or Marquardt sounds better than Silva who has been off for sometime now. Silva called out Belfort and I wouldn’t miond seeing that as for Belcher I think the winner of Bisping and Rivera makes the most sense?
