The official weigh-in event for Strikeforce: "Fedor vs. Silva" went down today (Feb. 11, 2011) from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ.

It was a rather pedestrian affair, considering each of the five main card fights are heavyweight bouts with nearly no risk of any fighter coming in overweight.

The only man who had a chance, "Bigfoot" Silva, came in one pound under the limit. The formalities are over and it's officially countdown to showtime.

"Fedor vs. Silva" will kick off the promotion's upcoming world grand prix heavyweight tournament, featuring a main event and quarterfinal match-up between former PRIDE Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko and former Elite XC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Silva.

Also trying to advance to the tournament semifinals will be former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski when he throws hands with hard-hitting Russian striker Sergei Kharitonov.

In tournament reserve bouts, up-and-coming division prospects Shane Del Rosario and Lavar Johnson will sling leather while Valentijn Overeem makes his Strikeforce debut against the striking prowess of Ray Sefo.
