"I knew I made a big mistake. I knew what I said hurt people and I had to own up to it, be a man and accept it. I had to educate myself and learn how I hurt people. In the process I learned a lot of things. That's the biggest thing I learned out of all this, your words are very powerful."
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight fighter Miguel Torres, who was released from his ZUFFA contract back on Dec. 8, 2011, following a controversial rape joke on his official Twitter account, talks about the learning process that led him to "be a man" and "own up to" the fact that he "made a big mistake" with his comments. UFC President Dana White was just as quick to re-hire the former WEC bantamweight champion as he was to fire him, after Torres "impressed" the fight boss with the way he handled his business. Are you ready to welcome him back with open arms? Or not yet? Anyone think he shouldn't have been fired in the first place?
