Miguel Torres back in UFC after taking rape sensitivity classes and donating money to local rape centers

Well that was quick.
Miguel Torres was cut from the UFC less than one month ago for making a tasteless joke on his Twitter account involving rape. UFC President Dana White didn't think it was funny and did a 16-minute interview to explain his decision to let the former WEC bantamweight champion go.
For his part, Torres released a statement shortly after his being terminated saying he's sorry and vowing to improve himself. And, apparently, that's what he did.
Torres was on hand with White following the UFC 141 pre-fight press conference and it was explained by the bossman that Torres, who was reportedly rather emotional, took rape sensitivity classes and donated money to local rape centers in Chicago, where he also volunteered.
Because he showed extreme remorse for his actions and was as apologetic as possible, White has given Torres another chance with the UFC.
All's well that ends well, right?

I don't think its irrational to believe
that Dana took quite a bit of hypocritical heat with releasing 1 guy for rape comments, but not two other, more popular, fighter, and THEN to go and issue a twitter rape joke himself.
“had to take him back” may not be properly worded, but ELS proposing that Dana and Zuffo co. could potentially come under political and legal fire isn’t outlandish, imo.

donated away his money and took some classes I am willing to forgive his horrific act.
When a fighter says something in poor taste I usually forward it to UFC’s customer service e-mail to make sure it is addressed and they are either fined or fired, depending on how severe.
Dana needed his gatekeeper back in that weight class.
