It's time.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to pull the trigger on its FX Channel debut TONIGHT (Jan. 20, 2012) LIVE from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
UFC on FX 1 will feature two top lightweight contenders, Jim Miller and Melvin Guillard, headlining the event and looking to continue their march back to the top of the 155-pound totem pole. Also penciled in for the "Guillard vs. Miller" fight card is a heavyweight battle between Pat Barry and Christian Morecraft, as well as a welterweight slugfest that pits Josh Neer vs. Duane Ludwig.
But that's not all.

Miller charges in for a take down but Guillard with good defesne and now their tied up against the cage. Good right from Guillard on thebreak. Good right from Guillard and counter right from Miller. Flying knee again from Guillard lands flush but this time Millers capitalizes with a follow up take down. Miller right into full mount!! Guillard scrambles and gives up his back now!!! Round one: Good right from Ludwig. Good right from Ludwig wobbles Neer and then Neer ties things up to avoid further damage. Their tied up against the cage now. Neer going for a take down but nothing there. Good knee from Ludwig then a left. Good jab and right from Neer. Good knee to the body from Ludwig and then two more knees to the body from Ludwig. Time stopped Neer lost mouthpiece. Right from Ludwig. Hard body shot from Ludwig and counter right from Ludwig too. Another good right from Ludwig and then he lands some big knees to the body and head. Neer going for a single leg now and is eating big uppercuts. Neer finishes the single leg take down and is now on top. Ludwig with full guard. Neer jumps in on a high elbow guillotine! Ludwig is refusing to tap and that is it he is ASLEEP. Wow big win for Neer in his return.

Round one: Both men clinch and they are throwing BOMBS at each other both men landing body shots and uppercuts. Easton now pushes his opponent against the cage and lands some short knees to the thigh and the body. Papazian reverses position now and is in the dominant position. Short elbow by Papazian. Knees to the body from Easton. Nice right hook from Easton as both men seem to be locked together. They break and re start. Right from Papazian. Both men trade leg kicks. Jab from Papazian lands flush. Wild right from Papazian misses and counter left landed by Easton. Both men trade combos. Jab from Papazian. Leg kick from Easton. Both men trade leg kicks again. Nice left from Easton. Nice right and knee from Easton Papazian with a counter left. Spinning back kick from Easton just misses. Hard leg kick from Easton. Nice knees and then wild punches from both men at the bell! Fairly even round, but Easton was the aggressor. 10-9 Easton.
Round two: Nice one two combo from Papazian lands hard. Leg kick from Easton. Good right again from Papazian. Good left hook from Easton and counter right from Papazian. Good left from Papazian. Good right from Easton and then a counter right from Papazian. Hard leg kick from Easton followed with a great jab. Papazian ties things up he might have felt that last jab/kick combo. Knees to the thigh from Easton. The ref resets the fighters after a lull in the action. HARD body shot right hook combo from Papazian. Good right hook from Easton now and he gets double underhoooks and puts the fight against the cage. Easton now with a trip take down and now is on top in half guard landing some punches. Easton now into side control. Papazian walks the cage and is up again. Big left hook from Easton then he stuffs a take down at the bell. Another close round but Easton once again is slightly ahead. 10-9 Easton.
Round three: Leg kick from Easton and then a combo. Now both men trade some more wild punches! Easton lands a stiff left hook and Papazian ties things up he seems to be loosing steam. Once again a restart. Leg kick from Papazian. Easton once again goes for the inside trip take down but cannot finish. Good right from Easton and short counter uppercut from Papazian. Easton now lands a big hard right hand. Both men standing toe to toe now and landing punches and Easton lands two hard rights and then a good left. Papazian with a solid uppercut. Knee from Easton. Nice leg kick and left hook from Easton. Papazian with a decent combo but he is loosing power in those punches. Both men trade more punches. Trip from Easton then he lands a stiff right hand. Now knees from the clinch by Easton. Papazian now landing but he doesnt have much on his punches. Good uppercut from Papazian and now he is throwing wild punches! Easton counters with some of his own, Papazian goes for the take down at the bell but it might be too little too late. Ill lean towards Easton in this close fight. 10-9 Easton.

Round one: Jab from Morecraft. Leg kick from Barry caught and Morecraft pounces. Morecraft working for the back as Barry struggles to get up. Morecraft in the mount now and working hard for a rear naked choke as Barry is just hanging on. Barry slips out the back door! Now their on the feet again. Nice stiff jab from Barry and then another lower leg kick. Good jab from Barry again and another leg kick. Jab from Barry. Shot from Morecraft and Barry stuffs it. Now Morecraft working against the cage and finishes the take down attempt. Morecraft with a full mount now looking for the arm triangle choke. Barry scrambles and Morecraft has the back now. Barry gives up his arm now and Morecraft is cranking an arm bar!! Barry steps over and manages to get out!! Now their back on the feet. Right from Morecraft and glancing head kick from Barry. Good right from Barry. HUGE left hook from Barry sends Morecraft crashing to the mat!! Barry pounces with 3 unanswered right handed BOMBS and Morecraft is OUT COLD. Wow big win from Barry.

185 lbs.: Jorge Rivera vs. Eric Schafer
Round one: Rivera comes forward with punches and gets tangled up by Schafer who then goes for the takedown. Schafer has him tied up against the fence and eventually gets the bodylock takedown. Schafer is in half guard. Now side control. Schafer pushes his head down and lands an elbow, then another. Now back to half guard. Rivera reverses him and is trying to get his back. He gives it up and they're back standing. Schafer has him pressed against the cage again and is using knees and elbows to soften him up, inevitably trying to take him down again. He sweeps the leg and is back on top. Schafer working from half guard. Two and a half minutes left. Schafer starting to land a good deal of elbows now. Rivera gets to the butterfly position and is looking for an escape route. Schafer postures up and lands some big shots from the top. Schafer switches to a choke but he lets it go. Now he's back to the guillotine. Intricate chess match being played on the mat as Schafer tries to get the submission and Rivera is defending. Just under a minute, Rivera still unable to get back to his feet. In the scuffle, Schafer appears to have been cut on the bridge of his nose. Rivera reverses him with only 20 seconds to go. Schafer uses the rubber guard to control him and the horn sounds. 10-9 Schafer.
Round two: Rivera throws big overhand right that misses. Schafer ducks under and shoots, grabs a leg, but Rivera able to maintain his balance. Schafer drops down to grab a leg but Rivera grabs his neck. Now Rivera lands a good punch to the head. Rivera has him down and is nailing him with a bevy of short, violent shots! Schafer is leaking like a faucet! Schafer not fighting back! It's all over!! Jorge Rivera has won his final bout and will leave the Octagon one last time as the victor! Congrats "Conquistador!"

155 lbs.: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Kamal Shalorus
Round one: Shalorus stalking. Looking for the distance patiently. Shalorus throws a big left hand and Nurmagomedov grabs hold of his neck in the scramble. Shalorus is out and their up against the cage now maneuvering for position. Back to center now. Shalorus with a big one-two combo that narrowly misses. He follows up with a big high kick. Nurmagomedov throws a front kick to the head that misses badly. Three to go. Shalorus throws a big high kick that almost connects. Not much damage by either fighter thus far. Nurmagomedov lands a good left hand to the head. shalorus keeps coming forward. Shalorus with a good inside leg kick then a high kick. Two minutes left. Nurmagomedov shoots, is defended but lands a big strike out of the sprawl. Nurmagomedov is now on top and raining down ground and pound! Shalorus looks a little shaken. Nurmagomedov almost has side mount. Shalorus rolls and gives up his back for a second but is able to get back to full guard. Nurmagomedov postures up and lands a good right to the head. Shalorus gets back up and we're back standing with 30 seconds to go. Nurmagomedov with a good knee to the body. Big right hand to the side of the head by Nurmagomedov. Terrific end to a round that started very slowly. 10-9 for Nurmagomedov.
Round two: Shalorus with a good inside leg kick. Nurmagomedov drops down for a takedown but Shalorus defends well. However, Nurmagomedov doesn't give up on it and eventually gets his man down. Nurmagomedov working inside his opponent's full guard with four minutes to go. Nurmagomedov leaps to get his legs free and get to side control. Shalorus able to tie up one of his legs so he's back to half guard, a slightly better spot for Shalorus. Mario Yamasaki not pleased with the amount of action and stands them up. Three minutes left. Nurmagomedov throws a big right hand to set up the takedown and has Shalorus back on the mat on his back. Nurmagomedov in half guard trying to get his leg free. Shalorus defending. Nurmagomedov very active looking for an opportunity to work for some kind of choke. Shalorus almost gets up but Nurmagomedov reverses him and has him instantly back down. One minute to go. Referee stands them back up. Nurmagomedov with a good one-two punch combo to the head. Shalorus with a good right hand strike. Round ends with Nurmagomedov landing a couple of good, crisp uppercuts. 10-9 Nurmagomedov.
Round three: Fighters exchange with a flurry of punches, but nothing really connects. Good leg kick for Shalorus. Shalorus shoots but Nurmagomedov sprawls and they're back to the middle. Nurmagomedov comes in with a shot of his own, unable to secure it but lands a few punches afterwards. Nurmagomedov persists and does end up getting the single leg takedown. Shalorus tries to go for a bottom side guillotine but Nurmagomedov is patient and works free. Nurmagomedov continuing to land some decent ground and pound. And somewhat out of nowhere -- he's got his back! Very impressive! Nurmagomedov sinks the choke in! Shalorus has to tap! It's over! Great debut win for Nurmagomedov!

170 lbs.: Charlie Brenneman vs. Daniel Roberts
Round one: Roberts is all over him with a barrage of punches. Brenneman shoots to take him down as he was clearly not doing favorably in the stand up. Brenneman in half guard with Roberts controlling the neck. Brenneman working to get to side control, but needs to get his left leg out. Brenneman heavy with the hips. Roberts is on his back and not showing any sign of being able to get free. Brenneman gets the leg out and has side control. Brenneman has him in the crucifix. Roberts taking a ton of punishment with three minutes still to go! Roberts looks helpless and is eating punch after punch. Brenneman gives up the crucifix to maintain control and in the process, ends up back in half guard.Back to side control. Brenneman looking very dominant on the mat with his wrestling. Two minutes left. Brenneman nails Roberts in the rib cage with several nasty knees. He's doing a good job of mixing up the knees with short punches to the head. One minute left and Roberts still on his back. Roberts tries ot butterfly up and uses that to get back into full guard. Brenneman crack Roberts in the ribs with several hard, short punches. Roberts inches toward the fence and is able to get back to his feet. Brenneman puts him right back down as the round ends. 10-9 Brenneman.
Round two: Roberts with a huge head kick that is partially blocked but gets through, for the most part. Brenneman takes him down right away. Roberts controls the head, and once again, Brenneman is working vigorously to get his leg free and get into side control. Very early in the round still and the action is in the center of the cage. Referee cautions fighters to work. Brenneman continues to pepper Roberts with occasional punches as he uses his pressure to put pressure on his neck and head. Brenneman gets his leg free. He's in high side mount and nailing him with a ton of punches! Roberts has absolutely no answer for this. Brenneman has Roberts' left arm pinned down with his knee as he rains down punches and elbows, with Roberts unable to defend. As Brenneman cocks back to punch, Robert quickly slinks out and is in full guard. Brenneman uses short punches to the ribs as the official in charge cautions for work and then stands them back up. One and a half to go in the round. Brenneman jabs and follows with a shot, transitioning to a single leg takedown attempt. Brenneman not letting go of the leg and is taking a decent amount of elbows in the head. Roberts rolls him over and is going for the kimura. Now he transitions to try and take his back. Twenty seconds left as Brenneman defends with all he's got. Roberts goes for a crazy inverted triangle! Brenneman looks like he will be saved by the horn! And he is! Crazy finish to the round! 10-9 Brenneman.
Round three: Brenneman throws a right hand and then shoots immediately. Big surprise. But hey, go with what works. Brenneman is back to side control and looking to inflict more punishment. Brenneman with knees to the ribs. Herb Dean cautions for work again. Brenneman gets his leg tangles back up and is now in side guard. No sooner do I type that than he is back in side mount, slamming fists against his opponent's head who is unable to do anything about it. Three minutes left. Dean continues to admonish fighters to work. Very odd. Brenneman has side mount and is delivering a ton of punches, elbows and knees. That looks like work to me. Brenneman ends up in the full guard. Herb Dean stands them up. Very peculiar at best. Apparently, Herb doesn't like wrestling. Brenneman shoots out of the break and goes for a front choke. He gives it up immediately and is in full guard now. Just under two minutes to go. Brenneman landing punches to the ribs. Dean calls for more work. Just under a minute left. Roberts doing a good job of controlling Brenneman's posture so he can't rear back and throw down punches. Roberts turns and goes hard for a kimura from the bottom. Wow! That's deep! Brenneman is in trouble! Saved by the horn!! Should be a 10-9 round for Brenneman unless the judges feel Roberts stole it at the end.

155 lbs.: Fabricio Camoes vs. Tom Hayden
Round one: Hayden with a big inside leg kick. Camoes very patient thus far. Camoes rushes in and eats a good right hand to the side of the head. Hayden shoots halfheartedly and lets go of it pretty quickly. Hayden goes for the takedown again and gets it this time. Camoes defends on the mat and is now working for a kimura or armbar. Hayden able to escape and they're back to standing position.Camoes with a big overhand right that misses. Hayden eats a big knee but is able to score the takedown. Oddly, he lets him right back up. Camoes shoots but is reversed and Hayden now has his back. Camoes rolls over and is now working from the guard. Hayden now inside the half guard. Camoes is actively working for a submission from the bottom, he almost gets an armbar but Hayden gets free. Camoes is able to secure top position in the scramble. Hayden defends, but somehow Camoes rolls him over, flattens him out and takes his back. Body triangle secured. This is bad. Camoes almost has the choke. One minute to go. Hayden is forced to tap! That's all she wrote! Rear-naked choke victory for Fabricio Camoes.

145 lbs.: Daniel Pineda vs. Pat Schilling
Round one: Pineda comes out jabbing right away. Pineda again with a good right hand that wobbles Schilling a little. Schilling eats a left hook to the head. Schilling now rushes in, feinting a blitz attack but it is avoided. Pineda takes him down shortly thereafter and he's mounted him fully! Very bad spot here! He's rolling! Pineda has his back! Schilling is trying to stand and is eating tons of leather! This could be over soon! Schilling walks him to the cage but runs out of steam as he falls over backwards and taps while he's going backwards! Fight over! Beautiful submission victory for Daniel Pineda!

135 lbs.: Nick Denis vs. Joseph Sandoval
Round one: Denis comes out aggressive right away and lands several big punches. He backs out momentarily but he darts right back in with a big one-two punch combo. Denis clinches up, nails him with an elbow to the temple -- and he's out! Just that quick, it's all over! Fantastic finish for Nick Denis! That'll teach you to get up and use the bathroom during a fight!
Final result: Nick Denis via KO (elbow) at 0:22 of round one
