Their lighter than most girls (in America that is, but not mine thank God!) I can’t get into litte people fighting and never will! 145 is ok, but any lighter than that I just don’t care! And 145 is good mostly bc of Aldo. Wish I could get past that, but I just can’t.

I watch MMA for the skill, and honestly, the skill level of the smaller guys is typically better than the larger guys as they have much less reliance on one-punch KO ability.
Sad that MMA is becoming ripe with fans who only want to see guys stand and bang and KO’s.

WOW! Amazing how you got all of that just from me saying I don't like watching little people fight.
I hate it when guys just stand there and bang! GEEZ! Also hate it when HW’s gas in the first round! For me it takes away from a fight when a one punch KO isn’t going to happen. Yea there are some little guys that can do it, but not many. Also some heavier guys that can’t do it either. It’s even more than that; just don’t like watching guys smaller than most girls fighting. Like I said, wish I didn’t think that way, but I do and can’t change that.
And fyi, my favorite kind of fights are ones with many transitions and a sick sub to finish! Two guys slugging it out I can watch in a bar, not very exciting!

I’m really up on Kampmann right now , but I think Alves matches up pretty well against him. All things considered, I think Kampmann is ready to make his step up the ladder and be a contender , I think he finds a way to win here.

Alves is the better striker(at least i think so) and is notoriously difficult to take down. i think this thing stays standing all three rounds

Kamp is a monster on the ground and has great takde downs. People keep saying he has this legendary takedown defense but he gets taken down every time he fights.

Story didnt take him down much at all, and when he did alves was back up on his feet in five seconds
Fitch and GSP take EVERYONE down, Kamp isnt on their level. Kamp has a horrific habit of fighting other ppl’s fight

And I’m not sure Kamp isn,t an elite WW. He’s beaten a lot of really good guys and in my opinion beat Shields and Sanchez. Kamp will mix it up with Thiago on the feet until he feels the need to take him down which he will.

Story didnt takedown alves to win
he pressured him against the cage and took hard shots to do. Very gutsy performance, and not one Kamp can replicate. This fight will stay standing the whole time, Kos and Hughes couldnt take Alves down Kamp wont

I dont see how anyone claims that this is an easy win for Kampmann.
If anything it will be Kampmann pulling off an upset. They both do a good job of keeping their hands up and both are counter strikers. So while Kamp is back waiting for Thiago to engage, Alves will simply be throwing faints and nasty leg kicks. Once Kamp gets tired of getting his legs blasted, he will become aggressive and try to pour it on Thiago. That’s when Thiago blast him with hard counter punches and either KO’s him or rinse and repeat.

Styles make fights.
Alves was so worried about the clinch and takedowns that he left himself opened to strikes. This happens to strikers fighting grapplers all the time…..see the Werdum/Overeem fight. I am a huuuuuuge Alves fan, hes my favorite fighter, but that Story fight was the shittiest showing I have ever seen from a fighter. I wanted to cry watching that shit, and how he was acting like he won afterwords and shit……really pissed me off. Alves is super talented and will get the ball rolling again. Gotta stick with your fighter through the highs and lows. He lost to GSP….thats just kind of a natural phenomena that occurs in the WW division…..normally only once, MAYBE twice a year. And his second fight against Fitch was ugly. I refuse to believe that Alves was 100% ready and prepared for that fight, but Fitch is an amazing grappler and that is Thiago’s weakness……styles make fights

Ans styles do make fights. That’s why I see Alvie’s doomed. He’s not nearly as technical or crisp of a sticker as kampmann. He has no takedowns and kampmann has amazing tdd. Alves has terrible tdd and kampmann has great tds so he can do that if he pleases. I didn’t see anyway alves can win other then punchers chance bases on styles. Do you really see him winning or is it similar to how I thought hardy would win against lytle but in my heart knew he was done

I definately think this is a tough fight and Kamp is a top level WW.
But Kamps TD’s normally come from the clinch. He isn’t a big, powerful wrestler so i see the clinch being bad news for him with Thiago’s clinch and knees. I dont think Thiago is to worried about his power so he should be able to T off with full force on Kamp. I do think Alves needs to turn this into a technical slobberknocker. Make it ugly but keep tight. Use those nasty ass leg kicks and it will be a good night for the Pitbull

I got kampmann, his last 2 “losses” we’re bogus. I haven’t seen McCall fight other than against Cruz, so I gotta pick benavidez & Johnson by default lol only heard about the Asian dude. And I like McGee but he’s gettin smashed.

The cards down here have gotten worse every year. UFC 110 was amazing. It seems the Australian audiences have responded also, the card still has not sold out.

I bought two tickets just to have them to make sure that if i could organise the travel(from Adelaide) then i would go – i didnt go all out but got two $100 tix decent seats just as a safety – i thought basically if i couldnt go i would know someone who would want to or i could sell em on Ebay and just get my money back(i hate HATE scalpers)
But look what happens?! People TRYING to sell silver tickets on Ebay for $35…. Considering you can still buy tickets as well i dont know if anyone is going to look at Ebay buit its a cheap option!
