A local light heavyweight will get his chance to shine in front of his home crowd once again, as a bout pitting James Te Huna vs. Aaron Rosa is now likely for the UFC on FX 2: "Alves vs. Kampmann" event scheduled to take place on March 3, 2012, in Sydney, Australia.
MMAWeekly.com brought word of the pending match-up a short while ago.
Te Huna comes in on the strength of a 47-second knockout victory over Ricardo Romero this past Sept. 24 at UFC 135. It marked his second victory in three fights inside the Octagon. He's appeared on both of the UFC's two trips to "The Land Down Under" so far. Why not make it three?
The man tasked with spoiling his homecoming is Aaron Rosa, the incredible shrinking (then growing then shrinking again) man. He's back at 205-pounds now and last earned a majority decision over Joey Beltran at UFC on Fox 1 back on Nov. 12.
UFC on FX 2, which will mark the promotion's second appearance on the cable television channel, will be headlined by a welterweight showdown pitting former title contender Thiago Alves against perennial mid-carder Martin Kampmann.
