I’m not a JJ fan but stop pretending as though there’s a WAY for Silva to beat JJ.
Silva could not stop takedowns from Chael (and even Lutter) and he couldn’t get up to his feet against either one. JJ will not stand and bang with Silva. He will use wrestling, top control and elbows to make QUICK WORK of Anderson.
Why does everybody pretend as though Anderson is the greatest when he’d get EASILY tackled and mounted by JJ?
This fight will NEVER happen because Anderson won’t risk being humiliated by JJ’s wrestling. It’s that simple. He’ll always make an excuse why he can’t fight JJ, or he’ll fake an injury if all else fails. Anderson is still afraid to face Sonnen again so how do you expect him to beat JJ?
Anderson’s sponsors need him to remain “invincible” and that won’t happen if he gets beatdown by JJ or smothered by Sonnen. Anderson will NEVER face Sonnen or JJ in the future since he has too much to lose. He’s got sponsors for life but not if he humiliates himself before retiring. Capiche?

Its an unbelievable advantage size wise in all the cases mentioned. Size is always a factor. Doesn’t mean the smaller automatically loses, but he’s sure got a distinct disadvantage that certainly plays a role.

Silva has only a 2 inch reach advantage on GSP and maybe 2 inches in height, but GSP is the stronger of the 2
…Bones has a 2 inch height advantage on Silva but he does have a good reach advantage but do you really think that reach will bother Anderson Silva? Also, if Silva decided to fight at LHW he may weigh less than Jones by 10-15 come fight night which is a good amount of weight but it isn’t something Anderson Silva cannot overcome…and JDS is like 230+lbs and 6"4…Jones probably walks around at 230+lbs…if he decided to move to HW he could add more weight with power lifting and actually have the size advantage over JDS….

just because I am a Silva fan it does not mean I have to pick him as the winner every time…Jones is good in the clinch too and quite fast. Silva is superior in the stand up but he doesn’t do well against wrestlers…unlike sonnen and Lutter , Jones actually does a lot of damage from mount and isn’t easily submitted and he has the reach and speed to avoid too much damage in the stand up until the fight goes to the ground. Jones has too many advantages don’t forget that lyoto has great clinch game and I just as accurately as the spider ….it still wasn’t enough.

Jones got tagged by Machida! You don’t think Silva could tag him? If Silva tags you, generally you are going down! On top of that, Jones isn’t a freestyle wrestler so he clinches in order to take someone down grecoroman style. Not a great idea against Silva because his clinch is deadly, ask Franklin. Silva would make Jones look like he was moving in slow motion.
I am not saying that Silva would win, just that there would be a good chance Silva would win. I hate cross weight class fights, I was against GSP-Silva and am against Silva-Jones. It just doesn’t make sense unless the fighter completely changes weight classes.
