As MMA Maniac dropnskirtz pointed out in his Dec. 20 FanPost right here on MMAmania.com, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was giving away the UFC 141: "Lesnar vs. Overeem" pay-per-view (PPV) for FREE to the first 25,000 subscribers to Xbox Live who downloaded the UFC App and ordered the Dec. 30 fight card.
From UFC.com:
To celebrate the launch, UFC on Xbox LIVE will make available UFC® 141: LESNAR vs. OVEREEM on Saturday, Dec. 30 for free to the first 25,000 fans that complete the order process.* These fans will be able to make predictions and prepare for a night of epic fights by watching the weigh-ins, pre-fight press conferences and other related videos live or via the on-demand library.
ZUFFA entered into a new deal with mega-brand Microsoft to stream live UFC events through Xbox Live, a subscription based service offering multiplayer gaming and digital media services to more than 35 million users worldwide.
Said service began earlier this month with UFC 140: "Jones vs. Machida" back on Dec. 10, 2011, at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Of course in order to "Kinect" with the UFC events outside of your cable and satellite provider, you will first need to have in your possession an Xbox 360. MMAmania.com's own Sergio Hernandez has a comprehensive look at the UFC on Xbox experience right here.
Any Maniacs out there besides ol' dropnskirtz who were able to make the cut?
