A dislocated elbow has forced Brazilian supercop Paulo Thiago to withdraw from his upcoming welterweight fight against Mike Pyle at UFC 142, currently scheduled for Jan. 14, 2012, at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

Tatame.com has it:

According to what reliable sources revealed firsthand to TATAME, the fighter wrenched his elbow during Wrestling trainings at his gym Constrictor Team, in Brasilia, and won’t be able to fight Mike Pyle at UFC 142.

Thiago (14-3) was able to get back into the win column with a unanimous decision nod over David Mitchell at UFC 134 back in August, returning him to good standing after consecutive losses to Diego Sanchez and Martin Kampmann.

A date for his recovery and eventual return to action has not been determined at this time.

UFC 142 will feature featherweight champion Jose Aldo defending his 145-pound title against undefeated wrestler Chad Mendes. In addition, Vitor Belfort will strap on the gloves to try and ruin Anthony Johnson's middleweight debut.
