Despite having his arm broken in two last night (Dec. 10, 2011) at UFC 140 by Frank Mir, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira is all smiles on the airplane taking him to the hospital to get surgery done. As tweeted by UFC President Dana White:
"Getting Big Nog to LA to get that arm fixed. #toughasnails"
Indeed. No word on how long exactly Nogueira will be out but it's expected to be a long, long time. To see how severe his injury really is, take a look at this gruesome picture right here.

Nog will be okay...
He was a complete total warrior for not tapping, he doesnt know how to tap until his arm was snapped in two. I bet against Nog but I also put a small bet for to recoup partial losses because I felt he could play the spoiler and he almost did. I luv’ this guy, he is a legend….

Is it gutsy? Yes.
Still he should have tapped. He may very well have ended his career last night. We still haven’t heard what kind of damage his shoulder has taken. The broken bone will heel, but joints made up of tendons, ligaments, and cartilage sometimes are never the same.

nah, this was the end.
he’ll be too old and too out of shape to recover and get back to the same level. he should’ve stood up, he’s too old to grapple with beasts.

Dude.
That gif is hard to watch.
Do not. I repeat, do not, go to mma-core.com. I made the mistake of watching a couple UFC 108 bouts on there and I am still trying to get all the viruses off my computer. Ridiculous! You've been warned.

Nog is a warrior,
when he finally recovers and comes back I hope he wins 1-2 fights then retires. I’m pretty sure he won’t though.
When a fighter says something in poor taste I usually forward it to UFC’s customer service e-mail to make sure it is addressed and they are either fined or fired, depending on how severe.
Nog is a warrior,
But I’m pretty sure his career is over.
This injury is pretty bad and will probably require surgery. He’s possibly out for more than a year. I’m not sure he can recover from that, and I don’t think he should come back if he does recover.
Hopefully, for his sake, he’s stacked a lot of dough and doesn’t have to come back.
Don’t get me wrong: I wish to see him perform at the top of his game again. But I don’t figure that’s a possibility anymore and I think the only thing he might be able to do is tarnish his legacy.

He was flown right out of the UFC event for surgery.

WHY DO I KEEP LOOKING AT THE PICS??
I keep linking. I don’t know why. I almost puke every time but I KEEP LOOKING.
That's like making fun of a maniac because his brain isn't completely right, because he isn't in the norm.

We all know Big Nog's pride is hurting heavily

just realized...
herb dean always gets the best seat in the mir limb breaking show
or when Nog loses.
Everytime.
Although I spend countless hours researching, it has taken a ‘Cali Cock-Slap’ for me to come to the realization that Frank Mir is a top HW. If not for Cali ringing my bell, I might also never have never realized that Randy Couture is MMA’s greatest achievement. Having had this sense finally rammed into me, I can now move forward and strive to breakout of my eternal bridesmaid rut.

TheDragon is the greatest of all time, i was foolish to bet against him, NEVER again will i make that mistake

what will hurt him more than anything and keep up up at nights during his recovery is.....
knowing he had that fight won with one or two more clean shots, what a shame
Nog via KO in the rubber match.

there will be no rubber match its 2-0 to Mir! Nogs not in the same league as Mir now (plus he wont recover from that nasty nasty injury!)
boards dont hit back....
