The lone featherweight fracas taking place on the UFC 140: "Jones vs. Machida" event, going down tonight (Sat., Dec. 10, 2011) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, featured Mark Hominick vs. Chan Sung Jung.
The former was aiming to rebound impressively from his championship loss to Jose Aldo while the latter was simply attempting to build on the most impressive victory of his career earlier this year.
Count another one for "The Korean Zombie," who scored an unbelievable knockout just 7 seconds into the fight. "The Machine" came out fast and strong but missed on his first punch and got clobbered right after.
Wam, bam, thank you ma'am.
If you thought this thing would start quick and finish early, you were right.
Sung Jung isn't known for his knockout power but considering all we knew coming into this bout with all the emotional turmoil Hominick had to work through, I suppose it's somewhat unsurprising in hindsight.
Still, what a finish.
