The bantamweight final between John Dodson and T.J. Dillashaw is now set for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 live finale on Dec. 3 from the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dodson (11-5), murked Brandon Merkt on episode one of the Spike TV reality show to earn his way into the TUF house. From there, he was able to dethrone "Prince" Albert via unanimous decision in his first elimination fight.
That set up Wednesday night's semifinal showdown opposite Johnny Bedford, which "The Magician" won after making Bedford's consciousness disappear.
Will he pull a six-figure contract out of his hat on Saturday night?
Not if Dillashaw has anything to say about it.
The former collegiate wrestling standout stopped Matt Jaggers with a first round technical knockout to earn his spot on the roster. In his first elimination fight, he choked out Rolande Delorme to advance to the semis.
Once there, Dustin Pague would provide little resistance and Dillashaw cruised to an easy unanimous decision win and right into a spot on the Dec. 3 network-televised event.
TUF 14 Finale will feature a middleweight showdown between Michael Bisping vs. Jason Miller, who coached opposite each other on this season of the promotion's mixed martial arts (MMA) reality series.
TUF 13 winner Anthony Ferguson will return to where he won it all when he collides with MMA veteran Yves Edwards in other main card action.
