Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is heading back to ION television to broadcast its upcoming "Prelims" fights for the UFC 140: "Jones vs. Machida" pay-per-view event on Dec. 10 at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, according to a report from Heavy.com.
The promotion, which will enter a long term broadcast agreement with the FOX network in 2012, is likely using ION as a rest stop on the road to bigger and better things, although it's also reported that Zuffa will conclude its current arrangement with Spike TV with a prelims special for UFC 141 on Dec. 30.
The following match-ups are expected to make the ION airwaves:
205 lbs.: Igor Pokrajac vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
185 lbs.: Jared Hamman vs. Constantinos Philippou
170 lbs.: John Makdessi vs. Dennis Hallman
135 lbs.: Yves Jabouin vs. Walel Watson
UFC 140 will be headlined by light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defending his title against elusive Brazilian "Dragon," Lyoto Machida.
The Nogueira brothers are also on the card, as Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will rematch Frank Mir while Antonio Rogerio Nogueira will go head-on against Tito Ortiz.
