BRUTALISED Bowles. He definitely deserves one more shot. I thought Bowles looked substantially bigger in frame than Faber though. wonder if he could cut to 125? Probably not, he’d have to lose muscle mass I reckon.

Great weekend

Dan Henderson is just amazing.
Urijah Faber was money.
Hector Lombard is for real.
Michael Chandler has arrived.
Stephan Bonnar is revived
Fedor is good no longer the best
Jeff Monson is now irrelavent even on regional scene
Wanderle Silva showed heart, i expect we never see Le again
Kampmann wasn’t screwed by judges lol
Story is good, needs time.

Dan Henderson won’t be fighting soon i bet, he has had a long year and just went through an epic five round war. I wouldn’t want him and Evans to fight due to it killing off a legit contender. I wouldn’t mind Henderson vs. Rampage in Japan or heck Loser of Jones/Machida vs. Henderson. Evans should fight for the title regardless of a winner at UFC 140.

Wanderle Silva shouldn’t retire. Silva may never get to the showdown with Anderson Silva but why not? yes he has been knocked out but by knockout artists. I’d like to see Silva vs. Maia or Herman in Brazil.

Stephan Bonnar \has beaten some very good fighters of late but he isn’t providing me enough to say he has a stride. I’d love to see him fight the winner of Ortiz v. Lil Nog as i feel Ortiz will win. I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Rampage because i love those kind of match ups and if not for Pages hand he wouldve stopped Hamill.

Quinton Jackson vs. Shogun or Bonnar
Wanderlei Silva fight in Brazil

I haven’t and trust me i know his type and most aren’t fighters. I give him a break due to his style. He was a huge reason i started respecting lighter weight classes.

He was great on Saturday and let’s be fair, he is rarely ever going to be in a boring fight.

LOL I was confident he was going to dominate. With Jones and I could see him taking some damage, but with Hendo there was no way. There was no way this 41 old MW was winning. Watching him gas in the 1st and get smashed pissed me off. Everyone around me was with Hendo too.

Watch the fight again kid, Hendo dominated Rua early in the fight. The strikes Rua landed in the fifth may of been high in quantity but not near the damage Rua took in the first two rounds. I got a lot of respect for Rua as I don’t think any fighter could of taken what he did, were what Rua gave I think many fighters of taken.

But the wrestling background and fighting style seems to be the most effective for the success of older fighters.

i agree, although in general it's the freestyle wrestler's who tend to do

better in MMA, with the exception of Hendo, couture and now Jones, i am having trouble coming up with very successful Greco based fighters.

Sonnen works his Greco pretty well also. It seems like Greco matches up the best against diverse fighters and gives everyone problems with the grinding and dirty boxing.

It just doesnt seem like the clinch is capitalized on very often against greco since they’re always looking for the takedown. Silva/Sonnen and Hendo/Shogun are good examples since they have 2 of the best thai clinches.
