Hello, my name is Ray Guilfoyle and I manage SB Nation's fantasy sports site-Fake Teams. I have been managing the site for 2.5 years now and have seen the site grow from just a few writers covering fantasy baseball to a team of 9-10 writers covering fantasy baseball, fantasy football, fantasy hockey and fantasy basketball in the past year.
With writers covering all four of the major fantasy sports, I started thinking about what would be the next fantasy sport to cover. I thought about fantasy NASCAR, but decided to go after fantasy MMA as it is a sport that doesn't get much coverage across the internet.
With that said, I am looking for an experienced writer, who also plays fantasy MMA, to introduce the fantasy sport to the readers over at Fake Teams, explain how the scoring works, provide some advice on what goes into the decision making when making your "lineup" choices for each MMA card, and write up a recap of the fights and how he fared with his fantasy decisions.
I don't know how popular FIght Metrics is amongst the fantasy MMA players, but it seems like the scoring focuses on the skills of the fighters more than just picking the winner, the method of winning and the round. So, if these stats/metrics could be included in the fantasy advice columns that would be great.
Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have interest.
And thanks to Nate Wilcox for helping me in this effort.
