Ryan Bader entered his UFC 139 fight with Jason Brilz in desperate need of a victory after two consecutive stoppage losses against Jon Jones and Tito Ortiz, respectively.

He got that victory emphatically with a huge knockout after dropping "The Hitman" with a glancing right hand tonight (Nov. 19, 2011) just 1:17 into the first round on the final fight of the Spike TV broadcasted portion of the UFC 139 preliminary card.

Bader mentioned that he wasn't going to be affected by back-to-back losses to Jones and Ortiz earlier this year and he proved it by withstanding Brilz's early attack and then returning fire furiously.

He looked totally pumped up with the victory, and for now, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season eight winner is ready to earn another fight with one of the upper level light heavyweights.

With the loss, Brilz has now dropped three straight fights, the last two by knockout in a total of 97 seconds. It's highly unlikely that he keeps his job.
