UFC on FOX ratings (revised) reflects 5.7 million viewers for 'Velasquez vs Dos Santos'
Up, up and away.
The UFC on FOX ratings have been updated following Saturday night's (Nov. 12, 2011) network television debut, featuring a heavyweight title fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos.
According to FOX, "Velasquez vs. Dos Santos" brought in 5.7 million viewers, an increase of well over a million from the initial estimate of 4.64 and enough to score a 3.1 household rating, a record for most-watched event in the 18-year history of the UFC.
From the official press release:
FOX Research projects that [Saturday] night's UFC on FOX premiere broadcast to win the 9:00-10:00 PM time period across key demos including Adults 18-34 (3.2), Adults 18-49 (3.0); Men 18-34 (4.3) and Men 18-49 (4.0) ... Among the Men 18-34 demographic, the UFC on FOX premiere posted a 4.3, strong enough to out-rate every college football telecast this season on any network with the exception of last week's No. 1 vs. No. 2 LSU-Alabama match-up (through 11/5).

You like shitty movies.
Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.
Kimbo vs UFC
from MMAFighting:
Kimbo Slice vs. James Thompson that drew an average of 4.3 million viewers. That event, which lasted more than two hours, peaked with over 6.5 million viewers to watch Slice knock out Thompson.
sig bet record 0-2, both to Lance Storm.....the cloverleaf is weak

just think
if it was ben and clay as the main event the views probably would of been double amazing fight
I don't think so
but they might have gained a million or so.
The key for this event, IMO, was to get the 5.7mm to tune in the next time after telling their friends. I think the only way that happens is if everyone stuck around to watch JDS’ interveiw after the fight. He did everything right, from a marketing stand-point. He spoke clearly, concisely (in English). He let his emotions out after such a huge build-up, and he showed his human side with saying he was scared of Cain.
Now if only Brock wins on Dec 30…
Agreed 100%

I'm the best ever. I'm Sonny Liston. I'm Jack Dempsey....My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious......." - Mike Tyson

Better but not that good
This was a special event once in a life time for the top prize a heavyweight championship the UFC will never put on a better card for free. It beat college football yes but there is a game every week not special at all next card will be half the ratings
wegot to see the peak ratings and see if it beat mr slice.
I've got something to say; it better to burn out than to fade away!!!
Is it really funny Mayhem, please tell me its funny.
