Dana White video blog for UFC 136: 'Edgar vs Maynard 3' (Episode one)

UFC 136: "Edgar vs. Maynard 3" is just around the corner, going down this Sat., Oct. 8, 2011, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. And if it's fight week, that means it's blog week for UFC President Dana White.

Episode one opens with White saying he's going to crank them out for this event (wink) and this first one will be ultra behind-the-scenes. He lives up to his promise by showing raw footage of fighters backstage after their respective fights at UFC 135 on Sept. 24. Most notably, the classy exchange between Aaron Riley, who broke his jaw, and Anthony Ferguson (2:59).

Nick Diaz makes a cameo (4:28) to take a picture with his brother, Nate, after he submitted Takanori Gomi in the first round of their lightweight bout. Gilbert Melendez can be heard saying Nate defeated "The Fireball Kid" more impressively than Nick.

Josh Koscheck and Matt Hughes continue the show of class when speaking with each other after their fight (6:26). Hughes was super complimentary of Koscheck's performance that night.

Jon Jones really plays up his leg injuries (7:06) while Quinton Jackson shows off a nasty cut (8:04). You also get the distinct pleasure of watching a doctor jab a needle straight into said nasty cut to numb it for on-the-spot stitches. That part is graphic and not for the feint of heart, so don't watch it if you can't handle it, Maniacs.

Video after the jump.
