Tyson Griffin, who weighed in at 149-pounds for his featherweight fight against Bart Palaszewski, was unable to cut the additional three pounds and has forfeited 25-percent of his purse. Palaszewski has agreed to a 148-pound catchweight bout. Griffin commented on his Twitter:
"I don't blame anyone but myself for missing weight today but it has nothing to do with how good the fight with Bart will be. Dont blink!!!"
Griffin vs. Palaszewski will take place on the Spike TV broadcasted portion of the preliminary card of UFC 137 tomorrow night (Oct. 29, 2011) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

if he loses
Then he’s getting cut.
You can tell alot about a person just by reading their sig.

Can any fighters in here, explain how this happens?
I don’t get this. Do they even show up thinking they are at weight? Dang this frustrates me.
"Remember men, we are all winners in the eyes of Christ...except for the guy still bleeding on the canvass"
Good question. I have seen it happen a few times and I am still not sure about the logic behind it. Maybe it’s simply a matter of overestimating how much water weight it is possible for them to cut? Kind of a… crossing the fingers, hope for the best on the day kind of thing.
I honestly have no idea though.
I picked Bart to win
Great underdog, wonderful fighter

1 of my fav fighters
But really tyson wtf?? I know he fought at fw years ago but he is obviously a lw. I hate this lose a few then drop down shit. His losses were all close as except for gomi, he could def make a run at lw, go back up for fucks sake.

bart has this...
he already won 25% of his money…now to take the fight!
I see bart either KO/TKO win or maybe even a sub, in the 2nd.
bart will wait to turn it on in the second, when tyson starts breathing heavy
just like the soto/lauzon fight
