Looks like there will be NoElite for Pedro Rizzo.

The Brazilian bomber today (Oct. 17, 2011) announced he would be forced to withdraw from his Nov. 5 bout against Tim Sylvia in Moline, IL, after suffering a partial tear in his triceps while training in Holland.

Unfortunately I got injured, training here in Holland, had a partial tear in the triceps' tendon of my left arm. So i would like to apologize to the Pro Elite and specially to Tim Sylvia because i can't be in the ring on November 5th to face him. I think i am in the prime of my condition and i'm really very frustrated with what happened. I hope to recover as quickly as possible to get back! Because my happiness is still in the ring!

Rizzo (19-9), who turned 37 back in May, is riding a three-fight win streak that includes victories over Octagon relics Gary Goodridge and Ken Shamrock.

The promotion has yet to make an official announcement reagrding the status of Rizzo or a possible replacement fighter for "The Maine-iac" at the ProElite 2 debut in "Quad Cities."

Stay tuned.
