Is anyone else with me on this?
I'm getting tired of trying to have a debate on here and people saying crap like "you just don't appreciate the fine art of MMA."
or "Go watch Kimbo fights on youtube LOLOL!"
I appreciate "the fine art" as much as anyone, I don't often use any fight as the "piss break" And a good decision never really bothers me. But I would never buy a PPV for this, because you simply don't know if it's going to happen.
When I buy a PPV you must meat some certain credentials. Does it have any names on it? Lesnar, Velasquez, GSP, Rampage, Rashad, Couture, Aldo, And because I like him Guida.
I need to have a name on the front of that poster that catches my eye. Because simply. I'm not purcahsing a PPV headlined by Bisping or Fitch.
Second, I need to be assured that their is going to be a finish, or atleast some action. A PPV With Lesnar I know will be exciting because he pushes action, and Rampage I know will always be looking for the kill. And GSP I would because I'm Canadian..
A PPV headlined by Gray Maynard turns me off because his only KO ever was on himself.
Does this make me not an MMA fan? I certainly think not.
It is human nature to like fighting. But when I'm offered a decision or a KO, I will choose the more violent.
But I also appreciate a good war that comes to a decision. The Maynard/Edgar fight I really enjoyed but I wouldn't of bought the PPV because it could of easily been boring.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
Sorry this post is more like a rant. Just kind of throwing things out there.
