UFC 126 video: Forrest Griffin is a jack of all trades, master of none
But so is Rich Franklin, according to the former light heavyweight champion. So who has the edge when the two square off at UFC 126 on Feb. 5 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas?

I'm leaning Franklin
But I’m from Ohio and an education major so I always root for Ace by default. My only hopes is that neither one of them puts the other out for too long, because I’d like to see more of them both in 2011. I still think either one of them is viable competition for the LHW division, at least for a couple more years if they stay injury free and get back into the mix of things.
This will be a good fight, but it’s one of those fights where I find both fighters are likable and positive professionals. So I hope for a conclusive victory, but not a devastating defeat if that makes any sense.
Good job Joe Silva

Rich all the way
would like to see Rich TKO Forrest but a UD win is fine by me. Gunna be a very competetive fight.
Every one of my jutsu is a work of art!
i hate to see either of these guys lose.
started being a fan of the UFC because of Franklin/Quarry. then of course i went back and watched TUF 1 and i’ve been hooked ever since.
honestly i thing Rich may take this one via UD with Forrest pressing the action but Rich landing counters. i could also see a TKO but i really dont wana. i’d love if something ALA Edgar/Maynard would happend and it’d be a 10-8 first round followed by two 9-10’s so neither guy would lose and lose their spot in the division and we’d be treated to a great fight… one can hope but i doubt it’ll happen
I feel the same
I really like both of these guys and wanna see them both battling it out with the TOP 10.
If I have to choose, I’ll root for Franklin because he’s a consummate Gentleman. Forrest is a nice respectful guy too and I like him a lot, but he’s more of the class-clown type whereas Rich is more of a boyscout type. Really hate to see either of them lose, but have been wanting to see this fight for a loooong time …Actually, I think since they co-mained on the TUF 1 finale, beating Bonnar and Shamrock.

Parallel Dimensions
Rich and Forrest have always been so much alike that early-on in their careers I used to get them confused (before Rich dropped to MW). Look at some of the parallels.
Both broke out on the same night, the “Turning Point of UFC History” (TUF 1 Finale, where Rich co-mained against Ken Shamrock)
Both are former Champions
Both had their career plans derailed by Anderson Silva
Both exceptionally well-rounded
Both prefer stand-n-bang wars
Both have under-rated ground games
Both are long-time fan-favorites.
Both are respectful, gentlemen with a sense of humor and humility
