UFC Quick Quote: Georges St. Pierre is boring...

...according to former rival Matt Hughes, who took to his blog and delivered some pointed criticism toward the champ:

"Well, I haven't talked to you guys since the GSP fight so I'm going to say this, even though I'm going to piss a bunch of people off. To me the GSP fight was boring and I'm even going to tell you why I think it was boring: because I believe GSP is on defense. Number one, he doesn't want to lose the belt and, number two, I think the UFC is paying him too much money and he doesn't want to lose that either. I don't know what's going on in his mind; but he just doesn't seem like he wants to finish anybody."

Ever since losing the welterweight title to Matt Serra at UFC 69, Georges St. Pierre has faced questions from the media and fans regarding his seeming lack of killer instinct. Now his former hero turned nemesis Matt Hughes is piling on and makes the claim that "GSP" is only playing defense when he steps inside the Octagon. Not just because he doesn't want to lose his coveted 170-pound belt but also because he gets paid too much by the UFC. Is Hughes onto something here? Is "Rush" worried more about his wallet than putting away his opponents in the cage? Let's hear your thoughts, Maniacs.
