"Hopefully, my next fight will be Wanderlei Silva, who is obviously a legend in the sport, and it would be an honour to fight... Michael Bisping, an amazing fighter who has truly distinguished himself in the weight class. I think Bisping will get a title shot. He has proved himself to be an exciting, all-round fighter and has the ranking. Guys like Michael Bisping and Wanderlei have what I want in the sport - the respect and the rankings, and that's where I want to be. They always put on exciting fights, and that's very important to the UFC. Yes, I think I have the skills to compete with Anderson Silva. He is a few levels above the rest of the division and I'm a fight or two away from that. People wonder if I have a ground game, too. I do. It's just that a lot of fans haven't seen it. Me against him (GSP)? I'd knock him out, before he puts me on my butt three times. I've trained with GSP, and he's a great guy and great for the sport."
Well it looks like no one can ever accuse Brian Stann of lacking ambition. Fresh on the heels of a first round knockout win over Chris Leben on Jan. 1 at UFC 125, the former WEC light heayweight champion is ready to make his mark in the Octagon. First up is a match-up that may or may not already be booked for sometime in the Spring against Wanderlei Silva. Michael Bisping and Anderson Silva are next on the list as far as 185-pounders go, but the super soldier even thinks he can drop a few bombs on Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre. Stann's win over "The Crippler" was impressive and all, but is he biting off more than he can chew here?
