There are 2 outcomes to this fight and depending on what you're a fan of will determine what you prefer. 1st off, Brock can win this fight. This isn't even close to a gimme fight for JDS. Brock doesn't like to get hit, but that is not going to stop him from getting the TD. He got Cain down and he will get JDS down. The question is what will JDS do when he's on his back? Cain got up right away and continued to lay the smack. Maybe JDS will too. Or maybe Brock gets him down and does to him what he did to Mir. This would be good for BUSINESS. Brock would have a big win over the #1 contender and the UFC would start up the old hype train and get everyone thinking that BROCK/CAIN 2 would be the biggest fight in UFC history. The problem is that it would only be hype. All Lesnar has is strenghth, quickness, and wrestling. With some , that would be enough. But with Cain, he has already shown, that it will take more than what Lesnar has to offer to climb that mountain.
JDS beating Brock and fighting Cain for the title would be good for the SPORT. JDS has beaten an impressive list of people to earn his title shot. IMO Jds has a better shot of dethroning Cain. JDS hasn't been built up on hype. That is why I'm such a big fan. Maybe he gets destroyed by Cain as well, but let's see it happen. If this is a SPORT, then let Brock earn his rematch. If he beats JDS, by wrestling him to the ground and smashing him, then good. But what does that prove as far as a rematch with Cain? Where is brock's evolution as a fighter? The same ols brock won't beat Cain. It's not the match I have a problem with as much as it is the #1 contender status. Lesnar is a draw no matter what. The ufc doesn't need Lesnar in title matches. They just want him there. The BUSINESS of the UFC wants Brock in a rematch with Cain. Hopefully JDS can do the SPORT a favor and take his title shot back.
