catch one of the Fields' shows (Dream or K-1)
i think he also does SRC. His work is awesome, he could narrate paint drying and make it exciting or at least funny with a bunch of one liners.
bas and quadros (the fight professor) did the commentary for old pride, then mauro replaced quadros.
i only heard of schiavello during an m-1 show that featured king mo’ as the main event and i got hooked with his shit

Rogan does do a lot of backpedalling for him. You would think that after doing it for as long as he has, he would get to know some of the lingo, and when it is appropriate to use it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for too many years. My guess is he is not a big fan of MMA, which is just stupid. Can you imagine an NFL broadcaster making those kind of mistakes? “It looks like Reggie Bush is going to need to throw a long touchdown and then bring his prevent defense out to shut down that running game”.

That said, not many people (if any) could carry the UFC product the way Goldie and Rogan do, mistakes and all.
Schiavellos accent drives me insane. I mute the TV when he announces.

I’d agree with the post above as well, the UFC has a pretty good thing going. Goldie gets on my nerves sometimes as well, but it works. I would like to see Ariel in the mix somehow, but not if it means he has to check his opinions at Zuffas door.

Schiavello is my 2nd favourite mma announcer for sure. I usually watch the events he announces pretty high so the shit he says I find hilarious. He’s so random and full of energy. I think if Rogan and Schiavello teamed up that would be almost as entertaining as the fights.
i watched a video on you tube the other day of the voice and rogan just talking shop and it was great. i'd love to listen to the 2 of them call an event just once.

That was an awesome video, closest thing we have to shows like that is the cringeworthy Cage Fighting magazine show
I’m jealous of everyone with HDNet, if only the UK had a channel to show the latest K-1 and MMA. Other than the UFC all we seem to get are awful regional shows and crappy coverage of old kickboxing and MMA on Eurosport and Extreme Sports.
The Voice, Rogan and Miletich doing commentary with Ariel doing the backstage and post-fight interviews would be my dream broadcast team. All of them are knowledgeable, articulate and witty.
