Dominick Cruz, who broke his left index finger prior to fighting Joseph Benavidez in August of last year (2010), will reportedly have surgery this week, according to ESPN.com. The UFC bantamweight champion commented on his recovery process:
"It could be six months, but I'm not planning on six months. I'll say that it will take me eight weeks to recover and 12 weeks to punch again."
Will a long awaited rematch against Urijah Faber be awaiting him upon his return?

i agree. their are great bantamweight bouts and (other weight classes as well)some great heavyweight bouts.
the size does not matter to me. just that both fighters go full throttle and give 100 % in every round. I want action and to be entertained.
On february 5th 2011 at UFC 126 Jon "Bones" Jones will show the world that their was no need for the MMA community to hype this man because this guy is a beast with many skills and i personally will feel Ryan "Darth" Bader's pain after this fight. SB Nation's public enemy #1.

That being said. I got Cruz in the Faber rematch, if that is his next fight.
I don’t see anyone else besides Faber giving Cruz much of a challenge.

Just wanted to say hello to everybody here at Mania. On the topic, I see this fight being close but I think Faber can beat him again, but he will need to take it to the ground, Cruz has improved stand up this time around.
