UFC 122: Nick Osipczak vs Duane Ludwig in the works for Germany
A welterweight scrap in the form of Nick Osipczak vs. Duane Ludwig is possible for UFC 122 on November 13 in Oberhausen, Germany as the two fighters have verbally agreed to the match up.
MMA Weekly brought word of this bout earlier today.
Osipczak is coming off back-to-back losses after going a perfect 5-0 to start his career. His last win came against Matt Riddle at UFC 105.
"Slick Nick" recently fell victim to both Ricky Story at UFC 112 and Greg Soto at UFC 118 via decision.
Yet another Brit defeated by good ole American wrestling.
Ludwig is coming of consecutive losses of his own haven fallen to Jim Miller at UFC 108 and Darren Elkins at UFC on Versus 1.
The loss to Elkins came after "Bang" suffered a gruesome ankle injury early in the first round.
Duane is probably best known as having the "unofficial" fastest knockout in UFC history when he KO'd Jonathan Goulet in 4 seconds, though the timekeeper had it at 11 seconds, back in his first stint with the company in 2006.
Ludwig's career has been an up and down ride of late, so a win against Nick would keep that trend going.
Keep it locked to MMAmania.com for more news on UFC 122 as it breaks.

Yay.
I love wrestling soooo much, it’s pure entertainment. Oh wait, no, it’s shit to watch – that’s why they spice it up for WWE. The UFC is becoming a shit WWE, I used to stay up until 5am with mates watching it in the UK – now I fast-forward half the fights in the morning. :(
whats wrestling gotta do with anything?? :/

Yeh this match will probably be a stand up battle
Although I do agree that wrestlers are starting to dominate the UFC.
Arm.bar.bandit saw me slow dancing with Anderson Silva. I had my hands on his ass.
It's gone back n forth for a long time
BJJ was dominant for a while, then wrestlers came in and they were dominant, then strikers with great TDD came in and they were dominant; now wrestlers with decent boxing are doing well again; it’s not about 1 particular style it’s an evolution toward one style that encompasses all different aspects of mma and it is constantly moving forward.

Yeah,
Sorry, should have clarified! Just bored of wrestlers beating all the good strikers – if I wanted to hug you for 15 minutes there isn’t much you could do to stop me, but it doesn’t mean I beat you in a “fight”.

+1
The ufc is ruining there british prospect by letting them fight strong american wrestlers.
Its seems like nowadays every all american wrestler can transition into mma without real and serious training

Loser leaves town?
I’m a fan of Nick’s and there is no shame in losing to Story but I know next to nothing about Soto.
I’d have to go with Nick by sub.
Arm.bar.bandit saw me slow dancing with Anderson Silva. I had my hands on his ass.
I cant stand Nick...
Not sure why but I hate that guy, the sooner he gets his walkin papers the better!

worried for Nick...
Really hope he wins this. Local boy and all that.
Was hoping for Slick to get someone like Marcus Davis… but this matchup is quite similar.
Bang is a capable fighter, but i hope Nick walks through him.
The Story fight was debatable. I thought Nick won the second and third rounds, but then again, I’m not the judge.

You have to much common sense to be a judge
Arm.bar.bandit saw me slow dancing with Anderson Silva. I had my hands on his ass.
They show cased their skills alright...
Too bad they’re kick boxers and not mma fighters.
I still don’t know why people complain about guys with good top control, shouldn’t you be mad at the guy who can’t get off his back or stop the take down? I can understand being mad at the top fighter for stalling, but that falls on both fighters, not one…
I mean if it’s so easy to “hug” someone for 15/25 mins, then why can’t they get these dudes off them?
John Hathaway did pretty well against dirty sanchez…. who happens to be a pretty good wrestler.
^^^Common Fucking Sense^^^
Thank god somebody has it.

John Hathaway was a beast against Sanchez.. never saw that coming.
lookin forward to his next fight
