Other than Shogun-who lost to Forrest Griffin and looked like shit against Coleman, I haven’t been that impressed with any of the Pride guys. Henderson did great only against Bisping, Jackson is bleh, Heath Harring…, and Wanderlei isn’t looking that incredible these days. Don’t get me wrong, I used to love Pride, but overall, I’d say the UFC has had the best fighters for the last five or six years. And yes, I believe Fedor would lose in the UFC. Cheers!

a new fighter from Japan that can cause a shock wave in MMA, like Sakuraba. I know Aoki has a lot of potential, but I don’t really see many Japanese fighters these days compete. Kinda sad.

Shogun didn't get a shot at the stap with a win over Coleman.
& the only reason he fought Coleman is cuz they still had personal beef from the pride days. Shogun won the ufc title fair n square KO’ing the top 205er on the planet.

He lost to tito, couture and chuck back then, he may have been good but he was not the man.
They called him the Phenom for a reason. He was the ufc champ & had the sickest hands around.

I’m just asking if Cro Cop is the same fighter as Mir is suggesting, because I think Mir is making the point that Cro Cop is the same, so when he wins or loses, no matter what he looks good… I think CC he looks old and slow that’s all…its the same scenario when franklin said he was preparing for the same Chuck…its like um nooo? When fighters get old they get old, and of story…

You can just see it by the way he carries himself; he used to be out for blood, one mistake and that was the end of the fight. I’m sure knee surgery also has a bit to do with it as well, but I think most of Cro Cops problems lately are mental.

going by records actually makes sense more often than not.
Mir has better UFC wins and he is a more popular and well known fighter in the US and to most UFC fans. I personally don’t understand how a guy like Mir with an average 500. record in his last 8 fights or so could be a clear cut favorite against Cro Cop. Who has Cro Cop lost to? Junior Dos Santos, in the third round!!!! Mir would’ve went face first down in the 1st round and the first minute.

And how Kongo was such a good striker, then after the fact he all of a sudden became overrated? If Mir wins this the same BS is going to happen and CC is no were near the Pride he use to be and this and that. Both fighters are veterans but Mir is a much better proven octagon MMA fighter than CC has proved to be, what happened in Pride was years ago and Mir has beat better fighters than CC and lsot to better fighters than CC so my money is on Mir in the octagon.

To be fair I said that both Mir and Kongo were 2 overrated fighters who I couldn't stand before the fight
I wrongly presumed that Cheick would be motivated to KO Frank after the trash talk instead he got outclassed. This time I’m picking Frank against a guy who I’ve said was past it since he got bullied in the clinch by Kongo. Since then Cro Cop hasn’t shown anything to suggest that he can KO a guy like Mir, a prime Cro Cop would be the huge favourite but now I think that Frank has the more well rounded skills and as long as he doesn’t give up if Mirko lands any hard kicks then he should be able to win this one. I’m also banking on Frank not ruining his cardio and physique by cutting the extra muscle mass that he put on for the Kongo and Carwin fights.

Cro Cop has arguably the best sprawl in the history of the heavyweight division, far better than Kongo’s. I think Cro Cop, judging by his wins over Barnett and the beating he laid on Nog for 11 minutes, is a bad stylistic matchup for Mir.

i think mir has way to much faith in his stand up and if he doesnt go for the ground game he might be in for a disappointing night,im hoping for mir and bader to win

Bader’s a bad stylistic match-up for Lil Nog and as long as he doesn’t tire or get caught in a submission when shooting for the takedown then he should be able to beat up and tire Nog out en route to a decision or even KO him with one of his overhands.
I’d love to see the Pride boys regain their form and I still have faith that Lil Nog can beat some top LHWs, I just don’t see him or Cro Cop being good enough on the night to beat Mir and Bader.

As soon as Shogun goes against a guy that is willing to push the pace and give him nowheres to back up to hit the counter and he will crumble. He’s just another washed up can with no knees that can’t beat drunk Chuck and Forrest Gump.
