Rivalry?

More like a one-sided beating. After a brief and life-threatening hiatus, the Pain Train is back at full force. Brown Stain will experience the power and ass-whoopery first-hand, while the crying little ABM girls will weep for several more months of the UFC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD . . . BROCK LESNAR!!!!

P-Dub knows you meant yourself.

But he chose to ignore that because he knows you are only fooling yourself and even through the internets he knows you are just conversing with him to get closer to the pain train.

I can't disagree more with P-Dub

Cain will annihilate Brock who has had better luck than Mir when it comes to the win column…Brock is not that good, although I am a fan and he is exciting, he is just a big gorilla…Carwin not gassing = death to Brock, I will change my name to Brocksbitch for a month if he wins!!! To say he is the baddest Heavy is a joke!!! with Fedor, Overeem, JDS and Cain is crazy!! You can like a fighter like I root for Brock and still think is skill set is not up to par with the division’s best… Cain wins easy, not even close!

really? so why do they call it football? just to adhere to international standards?

I guess America does have a tendency to say “fuck you, we’re keeping our system” to the world (i.e. metric system lol).

it was used as a slang word for Football back in the day. Then when rugby came about rugby meant “rugby rules football” and soccer meant “association rules football”. At some point rugby got called “rugby” and football just meant soccer.

Cain will end Brocks career and probably make Brock suicide.

Simple as that, brocks getting it the hard way. He’s getting beat on 5 rds straight, cain will do what ever he wants with brock. – Watch it for yourself kids, I’m calling it right now.

No way can brock keep up with Cain for 5rds. – The first few rds will simple be a matter of Cain moving around, playing it safe. Come the 3rd rd, thats when the beating comes.

Brock can’t handle losing, but in this fight he’s getting fucked up for 5 rds. Cain will make brock his bitch no doubt. Ultimately, brock will commit suicide Monday morning.. You watch kids

If Brock learns how to properly extend the jab and stick it in Velasquez' face . . .

Cain will have problems. But other than that, don’t sleep
ANYTHING can happen.

Carwin can beat and did beat Lesnar ass. Then lactic-acid-ness kicked Carwin’s ass and he entered the record books as the first fighter to be submitted by Brock Lesnar. Ouch.

Cain this, Cain that. Anything can happen.

Give the guy a break.

  • It takes a while for those skills to really sink in.
  • The fact that he thought about winning via submission alone was cool.
  • Wrestling works well in MMA, especially when you’re really good.
  • Hey look at Anderson Silva, it is safe to say that after all these years training BJJ, he’s just not going to be as good as Chris Lytle on the ground, let alone Thales Leites or Demian Maia. Lesnar’s boxing mechanics will never be great but he’s building a decent foundation because he’s aware of what he’s doing wrong. He shouted out his boxing coach in the post-fight presser and apologized.

Blind hatred just doesn’t allow rational thoughts though.

I’m sure most of the AMB in here were all over Barney Carwin because he’s such a stand up guy. Now look, he’s in the middle of a steroid debacle and he sends infantile insults towards Big Country….much akin to…….“oh yeah? well you’re fat”

I have cataloged every conceivable skill and technique in the gigantic database known as my brain and trained my brain to store all of this information in frontal lobe, leaving it all available for immediate deployment at les than an instant’s notice. Even with all that, I may still simply decide to come t you like a spider monkey. You have nothing. Do you hear me? Nothing!!!!

You called Toney over Couture. Any credibility you may have had went flying out the window with that crappy single leg that a 12-year-old with polio could have avoided. And since you personally trained Toney for that fight, I dare say you did not do a particularly good job.

My problem

is with these fantasy matchups. P4P, yeah, you are probably right. But best in the world in this context refers more to the fact that there is no one out there that should be favored over him in the octagon. GSP is certainly a more highly skilled mma practitioner, but he would get rolled if he tried to step in there with Brock. There are no similarly sized opponents with Brock’s athletic ability AND fighting skills. It is just so rare to get big guys like Brock in the sport. Usually the big guys are clumsy bastards so the fact that Brock can do the things he can do, is very impressive. Also, I don’t like him- just an FYI.

He may block one possibly two

But he will not be able to keep the fight on the feet. It is not as if Lesnar hasnt shown he cant take a shot. If Carwin couldnt KO him Cain will not be able to. Something many people are looking past is that Cain is giving up a 4 in reach advantage and will probably not be throwing as many kicks in fear of being taken down.

Cain has the best takedowns in the HW division and even though he’s smaller than Brock I really doubt Brock can ragdoll him. When Cain picked up Rothwell ran across the cage and did the vintage Hughes slam was one of the most impressive things I’ve seen, that’s explosiveness.

I’m not discounting Shields. But Kampmann has lost twice in the UFC by power strikers. He has shown a competant ground game before and good striking. Shields could absolutely control him, but Shields isn’t a god on the ground. Mayhem nearly had a RNC, and he may of won that fight if he had another minute. Kampmann isn’t a scrub on the ground either, and he has much better stand up. I think it’ll be a close fight.

Honestly, 3 to 1 odds are rediculous.

If he can take a guy down he can win…. I just thought paulo would be harder to takedown… yeah diego looks good if he can get it to the ground.

by BDUBBS on Oct 24, 2010 12:31 AM EDT reply actions

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Cain needs to spraypaint LWO on the belt. I am so glad that pro-wrestler is done. What a joke.

by Bill Maher on Oct 24, 2010 12:31 AM EDT reply actions

Right now...

Dana is thinking of a way to cut Cain and give Lesnar an easy fight to get the title back.

If they fight

Dana wants Lesnar to have the belt.

Congrats to Cain

I picked it wrong. Still don’t like the racist guy but he kicked Brock’s ass fair and square.

by MichaelD8 on Oct 24, 2010 12:34 AM EDT reply actions

Awwwwwww.

I’d imagine a few people who have been posting smack about how Brock will destroy Cain in the last 24 hours are crying in their beer right now.

Lesnar vs Carwin for a title shot

by Spiffy on Oct 24, 2010 12:34 AM EDT reply actions

I expect that Lesnar will quit MMA now

He has proven in the past, from WWE and NFL, that once things get kind of hard, he quits.

good chance

he had a tendency to quit stuff.

by Bill Maher on Oct 24, 2010 12:37 AM EDT up reply actions

I don't know

Judging by his history, yes. But it’;s a very easy, very large paycheck for him, so maybe not.

I dont think so

I bet brock hits the gym and comes back stronger. Dana will feed him a few cans and give him a shot again. But, i dont think he will get the belt back if Cain can beat JDS.

by BDUBBS on Oct 24, 2010 12:37 AM EDT up reply actions

Not unless he SERIOUSLY dedicates himself to DEFENSIVE BOXING or whatever it's called.

That’s what ultimately was his downfall. He escaped with Carwin, but it came back to bite him in the ass tonight.

by BrockRocks on Oct 24, 2010 12:40 AM EDT up reply actions

Boxing period!

He really needs to improve his stand up he will never beat Cain. I think hes got too much size and just enough skill to beat about anyone else in the division. If he improves his boxing, he be A LOT tougher to handle!

by BDUBBS on Oct 24, 2010 12:43 AM EDT up reply actions

Eh...I don't know if he quits

What else is there for him to compete at? He’s too dumb to use his brain for anything. He’ll never stop MMA as long as he’s a draw and makes the kind of money Dana pays him.

by --utaptout-- on Oct 24, 2010 12:38 AM EDT up reply actions

True

He can come out of his hut once a year and earn a few hundred thousand dollars. Maybe he will stick around.

I think ufc will give him mir. he will win that easily and be back in title picture

by Apocacryptic on Oct 24, 2010 1:00 AM EDT up reply actions

Plus, you know how Big another Mir/Lesnar installment would be, right?

The Shit-talking will be back and Brock would probably send Mir into retirement. lol.

by BrockRocks on Oct 24, 2010 1:01 AM EDT up reply actions

Oh man.. all the shit I used to put up with on Bloody Elbow

because I said that all Lesnar had was strength, and very little actual skill. It is SO nice to be proven right after all this time.

hahahaha

Carwin kinda proved that, but then put his foot in his mouth a little.

In a rematch I’ve got Carwin all the way. A cooler head and a 5 round game plan and Brock is done.

by --utaptout-- on Oct 24, 2010 12:40 AM EDT up reply actions

Me too

But even though I knew it, it’s hard to use that fight since Carwin wound up losing it. Logic falls short on people who thought Lesnar actually had MMA skills.

Maybe he can take lessons from Sean Avery of the Rangers? lol.

Seriously, I’m curious as to what he has to do to not be caught in this position again.

I know he needs to hire a REAL BOXING Trainer(maybe he can hire Lennox Lewis’ Former Trainer?) but what else?

by BrockRocks on Oct 24, 2010 12:54 AM EDT up reply actions

ANY defense, either standing or on the ground, would probably be a good start…

I use to catch shit from people on here back in the day when I'd say he wasn't legit...

And got clowned really bad when I said he never did anything to earn a title shot against Randy. Sometimes the truth comes out much later.

Agreed

Kampmann let him off the hook by staying on the ground with him in the third. A gassed Shields was there for the taking on the feet.

except if you piss off the people that actually buy the cards

its not really a good marketing idea. Just saying. And that seems to be the case.

by BDUBBS on Oct 24, 2010 12:51 AM EDT reply actions

Maybe not you!

But to really think that a bunch of “mexicans” didnt buy this tonight because of that then i think your wrong! And, i think they will continue to!

by BDUBBS on Oct 24, 2010 12:54 AM EDT reply actions

Well...now that Cain is the Champ, you're probably correct.

But I bet you that if Brock fought on a card that DIDN’T have Cain on it, He’d still out-sell “Mexican Pride” by a mile.

Of course, Ticket sales = GOOD for Dana.

by BrockRocks on Oct 24, 2010 12:56 AM EDT up reply actions

OK

i completely agree with you. Brock WILL sell tickets. No doubt about that.

Big ups to Brock Rocks for giving props where props are due, unlike 90 percent of the Brock nuthuggers who are still in denial and making excuses. Sad, just sad.
