WEC 51 weigh in results LIVE from Broomfield for 'Aldo vs Gamburyan'

Jose-aldo_medium

The WEC 51: "Aldo vs. Gamburyan" weigh-in event is officially in the books. The last of the formalities before tomorrow night's fights took place earlier this evening from the 1STBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

Each of the twenty two fighters set to compete on the card hit their respective weight limits without much incident.

Feared featherweight champion Jose Aldo will defend his title for the second time ever in the night's featured main event against former UFC fighter and TUF finalist Manny Gamburyan.

Former lightweight and bantamweight champions Jamie Varner and Miguel Torres will also be in action on the Versus telecast, taking on Donald Cerrone and Charlie Valencia, respectively.

The staredown between Varner and Cerrone was probably the best part of the weigh-ins as both men made it clear that there is no love lost. It looks like it's going to be another great card from the WEC.

Check out the complete WEC 51 weigh-in results after the jump.

not to be a jerk...

but reinhardt has been replaced by garza as zhang’s opponent. if garza wasnt a good friend of mine i wouldnt even bother correcting that lol

lol well he fights at 145,

but took this fight on one weeks notice and it will be at 155. After this fight, he will stay in the WEC but move down to 145. Pablo is a huge 145, and even kind of a big 55. he’s 6’1". great muay thai, and very good jiu jitsu. Zhang has most of his wins by submission, and a few KO’s as well. Pablo wins handily on the feet, and definitely has the skills to sub him on the mat. I really hope this fight gets aired, cause it should be great!

Me too man, I'm really interested to see "the best prospect form China"

I heard Zhang has some stand up, and actually trains BJJ. Good luck to your boy.

well hes lost his last 2...

and ive never heard of the guy hes fighting… the main card is STACKED though! this should be an awesome night of fights. The Horodecki/Ratcliffe fight should be solid as well

by xquisitewretch on Sep 29, 2010 6:38 PM EDT up reply actions

No he hasn't.

He’s 1 and 1 in his last two. He has lost two fights fairly recently but one was a title fight to Aldo and the other was to Gamburian who has looked great and is fighting for the WEC belt on this card. A little soon to sweep the guy back to the undercards, IMO.

Do not. I repeat, do not, go to mma-core.com. I made the mistake of watching a couple UFC 108 bouts on there and I am still trying to get all the viruses of my computer. Ridiculous! You've been warned.

LOL I did too

at first. It’s all good. Hopefully he makes an example of this guy.

I know.

I couldn’t believe that either. That was a little quick. Main card is stacked though.

London Ontario up in here.

Hominik is going to take Garcia down. He can’t get away with swinging from the hip forever and Mark is really on point these days.

Horodecki vs 9mm… I like Ed. Chris is not performing well – but i hope im proven wrong.

Vitor is In. Vitor will Win.

Now thats a fockin Poem.

After watching Garcia fight the last few years I find it hard to root against him. But you are right he will not get away with sloppy haymakers vs Hominik

MTB is on the undercard huh?

I failed to learn my lesson, once again ignoring the advice of David W-S and making myself look foolish. Clearly he knows a lot more than me, he wins 2-1.

Hopefully he'll win by devastating KO

and will be back on the main card next go round.

His quote that if Jose Aldo is AS, then he’s fedor has 2 be 1 of the funniest things I’ve heard in a while.

I like bacon...and Rashad Evans is a pussy..It does NOT matter who wins the Brock vs Cain fight because they are simply baby sitting the belt for Junior

since before the ultimate fighter and the shoulder injury. I saw him knock jorge santiago out in like 15 seconds and knew he was a beast. the only time ive seen him dominated in a fight (not counting the quick knockouts) was against sean sherk in like 05 i think

oh sorry dude just figured it out like a month or something if thats all good. ps. ill figure this stuff out eventually

i have a hard time get hyped up for a card full of people that cris cyborg could take out, or at least give a good fight against

i bet she could take out 75% of the 135 division…

the brockness monster grinds up teenagers and puts them in his protein shakes..and uses razor blades to chop toddlers up into lines to snort like meth...the reason no one can find bigfoot is because the brockness monster found him years ago and now has him in numerous ziplock bags in the back of his freezer...

i mean obviously not torres or cruz or the top guys, but the lower level guys in the division...i think she would work them
