"Meathead" FTW!

Spike TV's broadcast of UFC 119's prelim fights garnered 1.3 million fight fans according to Sherdog, a number slightly up from UFC 118's prelims telecast in which 1.1 million viewers tuned in.

The show of course featured fights between Matt Mitrione and Joey Beltran plus C.B. Dollaway and Joe Doerksen. Viewers tuning in were also treated with the exciting first round submission victories for Sean McCorkle over Mark Hunt as well as Thiago Tavares against Pat Audinwood.

Mitrione and Beltran were awarded for their stand up slugfest in which Matt took home the unanimous decision with "Fight of the Night" honors along with Sean Sherk and Evan Dunham. Dollaway meanwhile won "Submission of the Night" as he locked in a guillotine choke against Doerksen in the first frame.
