GSP dazzles fans during his open workout while spreading the gospel in Manila (Philippines).
"It's more than actually performing inside the Octagon. I want to be the guy that brings the sport of mixed martial arts into another level, to make the sport of mixed martial arts mainstream. That's one of the main reasons of why I am here. It's my first time in the Philippines, I want to promote the sport of mixed martial arts, and take away the stereotype."

I'm not a big fan of GSP..
but I appreciate him coming to my country and promoting the sport.. He’s a really good ambassador for MMA..
Conan : You are known as a striker. Is that correct? Tell me what that means.
Chuck : Well I like to punch people, or kick them.
If hes trying to get people from thinking mma is gay
He’s the wrong dude. I kid. I think that’s great what he is doing and really looking forward to see him use his boxing skills. Maybe he will be like the old gsp who used to be my favorite fighter.

Whether you like his fighting style or not, GSP is a great ambassador for the sport. Respectful, hard working. I wonder if they sent Mark Munoz over there? I mean, a French-Canadian champ is all well and good, but Munoz would’ve been a good choice since he’s, y’know, Philipino.
