Jon Fitch, who injured his shoulder and has been out of action since his Feb. 27 draw with B.J. Penn, has been cleared to fight again, as he explained on Twitter. "I'm back! Dr. Kavitne gave me the ok to fight." Fitch has repeatedly stated his desire to appear on the UFC 139 fight card coming to his backyard in San Jose on Nov. 19. Jon Fitch wants to return at UFC 138 on Nov. 19 in San Jose. He tweeted today: "I feel amazing. See the doc on tue. I would love to fight my friend and legend @bjpenndotcom in San Jose in nov. I hope I'm healthy by then." Fitch, of course, trains at American Kickboxing Academy (AKA), which is conveniently located right there in San Jose. Anyone hoping this rematch against "The Prodigy" comes to fruition?

Jon Fitch says Nick Diaz is a 'paper champ,' making a rumored fight with Georges St. Pierre at UFC 140 later this year in Montreal perhaps not all that meaningful. Diaz defeated Marius Zaromskis to win the vacant 170-pound Strikeforce title in Dec. 2009. He's won four consecutive fights since that time. Fitch -- a former number one welterweight contender -- is currently on the mend from extensive shoulder surgery. Does he make a good point or is medication affecting his brain?
